Its funny how now all of a sudden its about the big name and who generates the most PPV for Manny. Yet for Mayweather this wasn't acceptable because "Mayweather already had enough money". Mayweather was a ducker because he didn't fight Cotto and Hatton for 7mil and asked for 10. Or when Mayweather told Margo build up your rep and turn yourself into a big name and then we will fight for big money. This wasn't acceptable, but its okay for Arum to do this to Bradley, Alexander, Berto.

"Mayweather fights for money, Pac fights for fans". At least it sounded good.

Well unfortunately that is the way the cookie crumbles as p.williams would put. Every time your hear about the pacquiao vs mayweather fight you also hear about how much money it would generate. The reason why this fight would generate so much money is because of the equally impressive list of quality opposition each has faced not because of their records being filled with c class opponents.

I bet p. Williams would be glad to come down to 147 and fight berto that would also be a good fight for berto.

Clottey, Margo and Mosley at this stage don't do anything for me. DLH was a corpse but that was a big money fight for Pac credit to him for jumping up 2 weight classes. I never was a fan of Cotto, but i was impressed by the fact that Manny took Cotto's power. I knew Cotto couldn't take Manny's speed but i never expected Manny to take Cotto's power. I thought if anything Manny would beat him because Cotto wouldn't be able to hit catch him.

I just find it funny though that when people defend Pac's camp decisions on who they fight they argue the same **** that they were blasting other people for. If you want to say Pac wants to clean out the WW division thats fine. But don't start talking all this PPV numbers stuff and bigger name stuff and who is Berto stuff when you were saying the exact opposite when it came to Mayweather.

I am not a pacquiao fan or mayweather fan but facts are facts. You just don't give a guy with an alphabet title a shot at either of those two, they should earn it by fighting their way up something berto hasn't done yet. Go read what arum said about berto on boxing scene right now, he said nobody knows who he is and that he is not a big enough name yet.

Pac would knock Berto out. Pac wants Void first, then he will find someone else if needed. Marquez would be good fight also.

Hilarious to see the tide slowly turn against Pac. People are slowly seeing how the man operates...

then, when you point this out, they will come back with some **** like "oh, but pac had his hard fights, now it's time for him to just make some money"

I just read on boxing scene an article where larry merchant just stated that berto's previous fight which was in his home state he only drew less than one thousand people. if that's the case pacquio might as well fight either khan in england or alexander in st.louis.

The actual attendance to the Marquez -Katsidis, Berto card is 4,920 people.

Assuming 500 came to watch Katsidis as there are Aussies who really dig Kat, and 3500 just to watch JMM. Then less than 1000 people came to support Berto.:lol::lol:

Come on, man. Even though Clottey doesn't have a fan base, he has been in the ring with some real names. When people mention a boxer doesn't "deserve" a fight, they are examining his body of work. Pac should fight Marquez and let Berto prove his ability against an old Shame Mostly. Then Andre can have a legit name on his resume and start barking for a shot at bigger fights.
