the difference between Mitchell and Brook is the level of sparring. Mitchell was sparring mark alexander and his brother in the build up to katsidis. Brook spars guys like Rhodes, Witter and so on.

i agree he is under prepared for world level but at least he is fighting wrold class guys in the gym.

Sparring is a bit like five a side or touch and pass though, especially in Britain where the sparring partners aren't going to be as good..... because the partner is likely to be a potential opponent at some stage.

Mitchell was woefully underprepared for facing a man like Katsidis..... alright he does have some limitations but has at least proven his ability to give and take a punch at world level.

Kevin's best opponent was Carl Johanneson, who is a smaller, chinnier, nowhere near as good version of Katsidis, and Mitchell nearly got banged out in that one.

The weak opponents between the two fights only papered over the cracks, I'd wager that most of the domestic top 10 could outbox Prescott to a decision.

With Khan and the Klit-Chisora fight being on the PPV, Frank didn't need to bother putting his boys in tougher fights.
