As soon as I get tapped on the nose it starts bleeding. Pretty irritating because then the coach pulls me out every time. Any way I can stop this?
i heard there is a procedure doctors can do for you were they seal up the ends of the blood vessels, in the inside of your nose.
theres boys at the club i box at, who have it done and there nose never bleed. i would reccomend getting it down then u dont have to worry bout your nose bledding. i find it very of putting if your sparring and fighting if your nose is bleeding.
My nose bleeds when I blow it, at the moment. The best way to stop your nose bleeding is to not let it get hit in the first place.
Dont know how true it is but I heard someone say you could snort water with salt in it and it does something to the nose where it wont bleed anymore. Also heard it stings like hell but cheaper than having a medical procedure done. Don't know how true it is but you could probably google the theory and check it out.
All those people recommending blocking/slipping/not getting hit have no idea, some people have those conditions that when you hit their gloves while they're blocking and the glove touches the nose it starts bleeding, you NEED to get it cauterized.
What size gloves do you use? I use 14oz in sparring (still bust two guy's noses last week unfortunately)....but maybe having your partners wear bigger gloves will help.
Some guys are like that. We had a dude who would bleed from the rebound of his own glove after catching a jab. Make sure your coach knows that it's harmless and you can work through it. Someday it might just stop bleeding altogether. A mexican or facesaver headgear should help alot though.
