Reading the reviews. Some are obviously overeager fanboys praising the book because their favorite fighter stars in it. But some of the reviews are troubling and suggest this is poorly done.

Anyone got it or want it?

Wait 10 years then you will get great books on Pac, it always annoys me when people release a biography when they are still in a carreer or fairly young.

Theres only one book on Duran, last time I checked. Pac is basically new Duran...don't know if there's anyone else out there.

Wow, those errors are discouraging. To think it's from Poole.

Yes. I bought one a couple of weeks ago and finished reading in about two weeks. It may not, in a strict sense, actually a biography but more of a detailed description of the world of pacman. Gives you some interesting details about the people around him, and the kind of life he's living in.

    What he said. :deal

The reviews for it is bad but I read the intro on amazon it seems interesting. I didn't like him calling Oscar the best and strongest.

I bought it. Agree with that last review.

The author didn't do much research and knows less about boxing than 90% of the posters here.

Besides mistaking that photoshopped currency as being authentic, he makes a lot of other errors that anybody on here would catch, like when he says the Celtics celebrated with Pac after the Cotto fight, when it was actually after the Diaz fight.

There are several other n00bish mistakes he makes similar to that, but I can't remember them off the top of my head.

A stronger reason why this book shouldn't be bought.

I bought it. It goes good with some other tall tale fiction such as Santa Claus, John Henry, Paul Bunyan and the easter bunny to name a few. Very riveting story. With EPO, a jewish lawyer as your promoter, a hated black guy where most negativity is focused on as your scapegoat, declining opposition well past their best to make you look good to where people really think your a top 10 ATG, Texas Athletic State Comission where drug testing isn't required and the most gullible cum drunk fans boxing has ever seen;anything is possible . Very beautiful . What more can I say. Disney I hear is going to buy the rights of his story for $10,000 to make an animated movie and Manny can't wait to sign it because the stand up guy will sign everything and anything. I mean never has there ever been a better human being. Jesus was a good guy I guess but Manny's legacy is surpassing even his. Not only is Manny becoming the GOAT of boxing but he's becoming the GOAT of all great men and women who have ever walked this earth.:smoke
