I was worrying if Froch would even get a mention, to have him on his great news. Well done to Sky and Smith, makes Ringside instantly twice as good if fights on other networks is discussed as well. Looking forward to it, hopefully its the start of a good run of Froch fights on Sky....with Froch now favourite to fight in the Super Six final I can't see Sky missing out on Froch.
What did you get banned for, Laz? On topic, dead looking forward to this now. Things are looking up for Carl, that's for sure.
good good good, best fighter in uk, very factual in his assesment, not afraid to offend the establishment, ie sourland, deserves great respect, and i hope he gets it.:good
good one smith! its important for sky to remember that its a boxing show and not a sky boxing show! people wana see real fights and hear people talk real about things Its ironic to think that the debacle of haye and harrison has made even the casual question fights and will ultimately work in our (ie the proper fans) favour
In an interview with Boxing Monthly, Smith stated, that he would love to bring Froch to Sky Sports. I thought they may have done so after the Pascal fight but it never happened. I'm really starting to enjoy Ringside.
So he appears on ringside, 5 - 10 minutes chat. What happens from here? If he is on sky we probably wont end up hearing about it until after the xmas.
Yeah he did a good interview. He was clever because when he was talking about Ricky Burns, he kept referencing back to his fights with Kessler and Taylor, just getting to talk about him. We'll have to just wait and see now what happens from here.
good show nice to see them talking about non sky boxing as well like kats/marquez and good to see michael watson doing well
Just looking at the highlights of that fight confirms what i always thought, which was that Brendon Smith is an awful trainer. Katsidis isn't even drilled in the most basic of boxing skills, the amount of punches he took trying to get close to Marquez was shocking really. Fair enough you can say he has a had a good career, but even in his good wins he's absorbed a fair bit of punishment too. You simply can't be an all out slugger against the likes of Casamayor and Marquez without having the basics. Unfortunatley, he ain't gonna break from Smith as they are close friends. He aint gonna change at this stage Katsidis. Great warrior though and a nice humble guy.
