    Jeezus the hate is disgusting.

give props where props are due regardless if he threatens your favorite boxer

    this man is nice..

    fast-strong-moves well-aggressive
only problem in my opinion he has is due to his long frame he takes alot of shots to the body which when it comes to cotto is a horendous thing....

definitely not over rated. at the age of 24 has a long way to go to perfect his craft and become potential champ

    I like Williams.

Good jab. Good hand speed. High punch output. Throws combos.

    Good fighter.

    Whooped Margos ass.

He lets guys hang around way too long for his size. Cotto dismantles him.

You expect him to be a better boxer, but he just isn't. His jab is ugly, he just throws it, it doesn't have any serious pop, and his defense is horrible. If you guy's say he's good as you claim he is, then lets see him move up to middleweight and take on the top contenders. He barley won a slugging contest with Antonio Margerito, if he moved up to middleweight and try to slug it out with Jermain Taylor or Arthur Abraham he would get creamed. He just isn't that good of a technical boxer. I hope he someday improves, but I highly doubt it. In order for Paul Williams to be succesful, he has to stay in wealterweight and with a 6'1 frame I don't see that possible.

    Too early for the HYPE.

Let's see him fight the other title holders then we can make the call.

Im not a Paul Williams fan, but a while back someone asked me what kind of fighter would beat FLOYD MAYWEATHER JR.

    I said something like

A tall, lanky southpaw with a quick jab and high workrate.

Now i'd never seen Paul Williams fight before the Margarito battle, but he's pretty close.

I'd like to see him fight Cintron and one or two other quality opponenets before I make my opinion, but he's got the foundations to beat Mayweather.

I like Williams, but he's not gonna make 47 a whole lot longer. I think that perhaps Cotto has the best shot at beating PW at welter because he has skill, speed, power, and a great body attack.

That said Williams is among the TOP 3 at WW and I sincerely HOPE that after his next fight the words Floyd Mayweather fly out of his mouth:good Williams will expose floyd in a way that others cant. He'd might even pitch a shutout as he'll double floyd's activity and has the frame and style to put the supposed "GOAT" in his place and bring his inflated ego crashing down from the clouds.

The only thing PW is missing is true power and that's what will catch up to him as he moves up. All in all? I like him a lot:good

Williams will pose a difficult fight for any welterweight out there.

I think that even though margarito lost, he exposed a lot of weaknesses in Paul. By the end of the fight Paul was sturggling to hold on, he dug deep and pulled out a good finish but I have to wonder if he would be able to do that after 9-10 rounds of body shots from Cotto.

The nice part about it is that this is boxing and these questions can be answered in the ring. Lets see Cotto vs Williams

I've been saying this for a while. People already know his physical attributes are unreal....but no one gives him any credit for his boxing abililty. THey say he just throws a lot of punches. Which is True, but he throws a full arsenal of punches, uses head movment, angels and lateral movment Very, VERY well.

I think the only guy at 147 that stands "LEGITIMATE" chance at beating Paul is the Great Floyd Mayweather.....other than that everyone get either eaten up or overwhelmed by his high work rate.

I think he hits like a girl, and he doesn't have the durability or defence for that to not be an issure, nor the accuracy.
