What's wrong with me? WHat you mean to say is what's wrong with everyone else. People like to insist everything is always bob arum's fault, but I always said otherwise.

If you read emmanuel's new book, you too will see him admit how business minded he tries to be when it comes to who he is fighting next.:thumbsup

Look man, I'm not saying pac is totally blameless or something. But nobody really knows what Arum actually recommends to pac whenever he presents his possible opponents to him. In reality, a fight with Marquez or BErto could possibly be financially ok with Pac but on account of animosity between TR and GB, or maybe because he favors Mosley over the others, , Arum may have said to pac: "Oh GB and marquez / Berto wants this x amount and x share of PPV". People tend to forget that Arum is a lawyer who graduated from Harvard, whereas PAc was a highschool drop out who, according to Floyd, haven't seen a contract he didn't like.

Finally, something without "my dad sucking ****" or whatever. I never called you a JMM "fan", it was an "INSTA-fan" it was a figurative jab that just flew right over your head. I was responding to your post that was equating Pacs challenge to Oscar. Now, I don't remember Pac trying to ask for an outrageous figure.

Now, Marquez can ask for whatever the hell he wants, but it remains to be seen if he's serious about fighting Pacquiao, especially if he wants to price himself out of the market. The point was Marquez hasn't made a case that this would be an exciting fight at either 140lb or 147lb. That was the point...

As far as your "stupidity"??? I don't know do you think FlexB's source was as SOLID as he says it was? :smoke

Golden Boy, so goes the story, met the Filipino idol at LAX with a suitcase stuffed with $250,000 in $20 bills. After that, Pacquiao signed a multi-fight contract at a Beverly Hills steakhouse. Another $250,000 was to come by bank transfer or check. He then renounced the deal when Bob Arum offered $500,000 by check, and another $500,000 to reimburse Golden Boy.

I suggest GBP try to do what Arum did in the Hatton fight, pay Marquez the difference if they can't agree to a price. I want this fight to happen just to see JMM STFU but I don't think he has any pull in the negotiations to make any demands at all.

It interests me what type of money Arum is offering Mosley for a Pacquiao fight?

Dennis Euroa, a columnist in The Standard, wrote that Jeng Gacal, Pacquiao's CHief-of-Staff agreed to a guaranteed 20million to Mosley's 11million in the latest negotiations.

This was three days ago. :good

11million dollars is good money for Mosley to retire as he never will get that with his remaining fights with GoldenBoy. :good

I wouldnt want this fight to not happen.

I though GBP is backing down just for Marquez to fight Pac.

Hope Arum reconsider and just give JMM camp an ultimatum for a go or no go.

A guarantee of 11 million to Mosley and only less than 3million to JMM?

That does'nt make any sense at all.

    Mayweather-JMM and Mayweather-Mosley PPV's were comparable....

You look at JMM's last PPV vs JMosley's last PPV....

JMM did 200K vs Juan Diaz

Mosley did just a little over 100K vs Mora.

Marquez it appears has a bigger following than does Mosley.

People are harping on the live gate attendance of JMM's fight with Katsidis.
Those numbers are misleading, considering it was Thanksgiving weekend and people during that weekend make plans to be with their family, not travel to Vegas to watch a fight.

I'm curious to see HBO's ratings for JMM vs Katsidis.
That to me would be a better indicator as to JMM's drawing appeal.

If they have been released, does anyone know how to get a hold of HBO's viewer ratings for Marquez-Katsidis???

I know everyone here at ESB was highly anticipating that fight.......

.....not much traffic at this forum for Mosley-Mora.

I dont think after Mosley's last 2 fights that there would be alot of anticipation for a Pacquiao-Mosley fight, certainly not to the standards to draw well over a million.

Marquez however has had 2 impressive wins since his loss to Mayweather, and what a JMM-Pac PPV would have going for it is the history of the two combatants......2 controversial fights......
A matchup that on the previews to the promotion could have testimonials from respected boxing people saying that Marquez twice outboxed Pacquiao, etc........

How the hell would a Pacquiao-Mosley matchup be promoted, after Mosely has just been thorougly been outboxed in his own weight class by Mayweather, and then looks every bit his 38 years of age in getting an unimpressive draw with Sergio Mora???????

.....will the promotion go back to show Mosley-DLH highlights from a decade past????
