I have gained a lot of respect for Froch in the past few years, he'll fight anyone and has a warriors spirit; something which is missing in boxing these days.

But the fact that he thinks he won the Kessler fight, is funny! He got beat fair and square.

The other thing which is annoying me is how everyone all of a sudden (people who were writing him off before the Abraham fight, I predicted Froch by UD BTW) are raving about how amazing he is.

Firstly Froch is a good fighter but if you look at his previous fights they tell a different story.

Taylor - Losing on point, got lucky with the punch
Dirrell - Struggled with him and got outboxed, he got the decision a. hometown b. Dirrell acted like a *****
Kessler - Lost by UD, pretty clear cut.
Abraham - Good performance by Froch but we know Abraham isn't active, look what happened to him against Dirrell.

Froch's resume looks good but at closer inspection tells a different story. He's probably the best out of a band bunch and will go on to win the Super Six, but we all know Dirrell, Kessler, Bute will give him plenty of trouble and more than likely beat him if those fights are made.

I scored it for Kessler so I think the right man won it, but it was close.

I had Froch leading by couple of rounds, but then again I was probably too drunk to score it properly.

It was close and scored by me as a slight win for kessler. However, there is the age old argument - did kessler do enough to take the title? Not in my opinion. Froch was his own worse enemy that night and should have listened to his trainer. Bottom line is judging by the scoring that night - Froch would deffo have needed the ko and that is just plain wrong as the fight was much closer.

Against Taylor he didn't get lucky with the punch but with Taylor's empty tank.

Just like a F1 car leading and stooping few meters before crossing the finish line because there's no more gas.

I think it's a bit unfair to say he got lucky against Taylor, in middle to late rounds he started to put the head on Taylor and pressured him, set a pace that Taylor couldn't live with. Froch made it very uncomfortable for Taylor and set up that finish very well. He still had work to do after that knock down, and a victory was by no means assured! But he did the job and took Taylor out showing great finishing skills.

So it took a lot more than a lucky punch to beat Taylor, away from home as well, keep that in mind.

I'd hardly say he got lucky against Taylor.

It was the pressure that Froch applied that caused Taylor to fade.... plus he picked his punches really well in the 12th round giving Taylor virtually no chance to run or hold.

How often do you see fighters hurt an opponent when they need a stoppage late on but fail because they charge in all guns blazing?

Froch mixed up to head and body..... and closed the show :yep

Froch is one of those who thinks if he says something loud enough - no matter how untrue or unrealistic it is - it must be true.

He has convinced himself that he beat Kessler. He'd beat a polygraph on that statement too.
