byron mitchell, good fighter. great 2 rounder as well, he just got over confident and caught with a peach of a left, the rest of the round was calzaghe just pummeling the **** out of him. although it was dicey for a moment reid was the closest he came to losing, i know there are some out there who think robin deserved the W.
It looked like Byron Mitchell got a bit complacent when he knocked Clazaghe down actually. Frank Warren finally gave Calzaghe a fight that looked to be competative but the ref decided it was a little too competaitve and waved it off.
Not only do i think Lewis would have been beaten if it were'nt for Klitschko's cut, he would have probably been KO'd... U couldn't call the 2nd Mccall fight sweet revenge particularly I didnt say holy was shot (he sure is now!) i said tyson was shot against lewis...holy was only such an underdog against tyson coz tyson hadnt lost since douglas, though he'd basically spent his time since his release from prison fighting warm-up fights, bums like mcneeley credit where due, lewis was a great champion...but i just dont see how u can rate him above JC...I see Lewis' record as great on paper, but sadly he didnt fight the best fighters in the world in their prime, a la JC vs Kessler. Moorer was IBF champ when Lewis won the WBC atsch ....woul have made a good fight imo dont see the immense depth you speak of....but i agree he's top 5....maybe
He could fight better opposition. Or at least could have fought better opposition. Obviously he is very talented, and has shown it, but his resume will always detract from his legacy unless he finishes out strong with a couple of wins against fighters like Kessler, which is what everybody wants him to do. So, let's see it. I would say that Woods would be one of these fighters, along with Hopkins and Dawson.
Most sensible unbiassed people would say that a prime Hopkins 'might' be better than Calzaghe. But this ageing version would probably loose to Woods and be thumped by Joe at this point.
