Graham in a competetive fight. Turner was good but not great. Graham definately had more under the hood.
I'm not so sure. Turner had trouble with slick boxers (the Saxton & Dupas fights are examples), and Billy Graham is a crafty operator. I tend to under-rate Graham but whenever I watch him he always surprises me. I see it more as a tactical battle and not a brawl like Turner had with the walk up style of guys like Basilio, Redl or Scortichini. If Turner catches Billy, and there's a good chance he would, then he would be all over him whipping that left up the middle 'Keed-style'. He could really rip that body shot when he chose to - a vicious assault. But I think Graham survives and gets on his bike piling up rounds with that constant jab and slapping right hook of his and frustrating Turner into recklessness at times. Graham MD10
I think Graham would solve Turner over 15, but in a 10 rounder, which would favour the speedier, more explosive guy, I agree with Doc that it would be razor thin and Graham would do well to edge it. It's a pity Billy didn't see more 15 round action, he was definitely a distance fighter....
Tough to call IMO. Graham's technical/counterpunching skill definitely could trouble the aggressive, often wild-swinging Turner; however, Graham also had a tendency to not let his hands go enough in big fights, which is what led to so many close, disputed decisions. I can possibly see Turner outworking him, especially if the fight was scheduled for only 10 rounds.
