As much as it pains me say it, it will be Wlads year. First he will unify the titles for the first time since 99 when Lewis did it, and then will also go on to beat Povetkin and Thompson.

    W. Klitschko
    Cotto
    Calzaghe
    Pavlik
    Juan Diaz
    JM Marquez

  6. Kelly Pavlik- After he beats Taylor in the rematch, it's hard to see anybody at 168 that can give him a challenge, except Calzaghe, but Joes not gonna go half way across the World to fight anybody else not named Hopkins..

Kelly Pavlik, if he wins the Taylor rematch, he can unify the Middleweight division or move up to 168. Either way I like his chances.

Juan Diaz, I don't see anybody at Lightweight beating him.

Joe Calzaghe. I think he's fighting Clinton Woods next, then Hopkins later in the year. I think he wins both fights.

That's another big money for DLH . . . but not so much for a stature . . . not unless Hatton beats PBF, the guy who beat him.

Coming in their division mix bigtime: Abner Mares, Amir Khan, Julio Cesar Chavez Jr., Andre Berto, Victor Ortiz, Alexander Alexeev, Zaur Baysangurov, Odlanier Solis.

Possible rise to the top, and maybe on the p4p rankings: Jorge Linares (oh my, so much talent), Joan Guzman, Paul Williams, Kelly Pavlik, Arthur Abraham, Chad Dawson (absolutely amazing), plus getting a title: Alex Povetkin, David Haye at heavy.

Who will be the top guy at the end of 2008? I don't know. But one name you won't forget, and learn if you haven't learnt it already: YURIORKIS GAMBOA. Instant P4P-er, absolute supertalent, maybe the biggest prospect of the new century. It would be crazy after yust a few months in the pros, but mark my worlds: by this time next year, he will be a world champion, and there are huge talents to beat to get a title in the 126 and 130 divisions.
