So I just started going back to the gym this week.. on my fourth day back I got some sparring in, four rounds to be exact, but only using the left hand. Jabs for the first two rounds and all punches in the third and fourth. It was against a taller southpaw so I feel like I was sloppy, plus after fatigue kicked in my defense lacked.. But anyways here are the videos below. Comment and criticize. (I'm in the gray) [yt]Hd9x8tLtUHk[/yt] [yt]_xwGQhleBcY[/yt] [yt]0--xVfIALCM[/yt] [yt]ZUs4kdpt-UU[/yt] He told me afterwards that I had hurt him with a body shot in the fourth.
Given it was your first time sparring in a year, against a left handed fighter, and you were only using your left, I thought it looked pretty good. Your sparring partner looked like he felt lost on the inside.
Thanks man, it was good sparring for my first time in a while. With more conditioning and sparring I'll stop making the stupid mistakes that I was in these videos. They're all signs of fatigue >.< It was supposed to only be three rounds but after I had removed my head gear he was asking for a fourth so back on went the head gear LOL.
Thanks all of ya for handling that comment, lol! **** was very much unneeded kid. It's in the Bronx, New York. Willis Boxing Club. Affordable as well.
In the first minute of the first round you did a good job to cut his ways. Some nice executed left hooks, followed by some jabs at the beginning of the second.
I was trying to just really stay on the outside of his front foot and when we started using all punches I tried to just get in close.. Which I don't really do alot lol. I'm starting to get some stamina back though The other day I sparred a round and a half (roughly) with a guy but he pulled out 'cause he was overwhelmed.. Tried to just take it easy but he was swinging for the fences. -___- And I felt perfectly fine throughout the whole small session.. Trainer jumped right into the ring after the guy walked to his corner and started giving me pad work for 4 rounds straight.. DAMN! I felt that lol. Oh and this time it was both hands lol.. I have video but Idk if I want to post it.
