No way Arum would do two main eventers in the same stadium the same night... he's too greedy.. He'd rather do them on different nights and have garbage undercards for both to make money both times.....

That being said, Gamboa vs Juanma should be done next summer or Fall.... not 2012.. I mean, if the fight is good enough, they can have a rematch.. I wish this guy would just sell his company........:rofl

gamboa doesnt even have any significant names on his resume, he should fight john and that wont be an easy fight by any means, john could potentially kd him multiple times and win on pts, gamboa is always off balance and john has the skills to put him down but not hurt him

    I don't quite understand.

The man is not in money issues, he's fairly old now and obviously only God knows when he'll die, but it's not like he's just starting his career.

Get the fights on now, Arum, before it's too late.

It took Arum two years to make Donair-Montiel and while that fight has some hardcore fight fan hype it isn't any bigger then it would have been a few years ago.

Same with this fight. Gamboa is never going to become a huge draw, the Cuban fanbase is not as loyal as the Mexican/Rican. If they would fight each other 3 times then everyone would make a lot of money and both will become more popular. Instead they are delaying it for no reason, this fight will never sell in a big stadium, just put it in MSG and give the fans what they want.

It wouldn't be so bad if the two fighters were actually cleaning out their division but aside from Juanma vs Marquez, 2010 has been a waste for both fighters.

**** any 'marination' and the status quo that is sucking the life out of the sport.

So Salido who was a Champ ( and fought 24 rounds with La Cobrita and Juan M Marquez) Rojas, another Ex- Champ and Barros who just won the Interim Belt, are not good enough for you,
