The James Kirkland Comeback

  1. According to Dan Rafael he was taken off the Dec. 11th card. His return is slated for some time in the spring.

I honestly think Kirkland won't come back the same...I might be wrong, but its just a feeling I have. I think we will be disappionted with his performance.

Kirkland and Tyson would make a good combination, if anyone could teach Kirkland it would be Tyson.

    NO

    most overrated bum in boxing
and no respect for the sport
    bad role model

    no skill
    stiff as a bord

put him against pacquiao ....manny will snap him in half quicker than margarito

    on a serious note ....

good fight for sergio mora at 54 or 60 mora will slap him round like a housewife

mosley would batter him worse than margo
berto would stop him with combo's
    martinez would dominate him
even andy lee would prob stop him with ease

    Thats all folks !

kirkland takes about 4-5 seconds to swing a wide punch

manny has got time to have a cup of tea, finish a sudoku , and knit his granny a sweater before he lands

    Do one you muppett

People do overrate him if they think he's going to be a champ, even in the pretty weak 154 divison.

He's sort of a poor man's angulo. Hard hitter, exciting fighter. But he's got John Duddy level defense. He gets hit by EVERYTHING. He's been knocked down badly by club fighter level guys. It's only a matter of time before he's knocked out.

god you have proven again you're a ****ing moron/fake poster. Kirkland would stop Mora, Berto, and Andy Lee easily. I would take him over Berto at this point, Mosely would be a tough fight for him and I'm not going to get into a Manny fight, there's no use, that will never happen. Kirkland is not a bum and he would beat anyone from the UK at 154, so get ****ed you fake poster

True he has been KD but I have yet to see him HURT. A good example is the Conyers fight. He got put down, got up quick, and went straight at him and got the KO.

I'm not saying he can be champ right now but he does have that potential. Defense should come with more experience.

Damn never thought about that one.

Definately would not go the distance. Anyone know how much Kirkland rehydrates?? That could be the ultimate difference. Size.

I think Pavlik has the edge in power but Kirkland has the speed and chin seems pretty solid if im not mistaken.

He's out on a vacation at the moment, but I expect a comeback in a couple of months. Wonder what's it gonna be this time, buying illegal firearm, robbing a store, beating up somebody.
