Marcos Maidana vs Amir Khan.. Who is going to win and how?

I'm sticking my neck out and saying Maidana by TKO early to mid rounds although I'll admit Khan wins if it goes the distance.

 

If Maidana finds early success in catching up to Khan and getting his shots through the guard, I can see him eventually forcing a stoppage (mid to late rounds).

But if Khan is difficult to find and goes unscathed in the first 6 rounds, Maidana will have already soaked up a barrage of jabs and straight rights, and begin to slow down. From then on the fight would be in Khan’s favour.

I’m betting on the first scenario, though.

Im going for Khan to win inside 6 rounds by TKO, Maidana shows a lot of heart but the ref steps in and stops the fight.

 

Its easy to see this fight go either way...Khan can win on points or a TKO, Maidana I see can only win 1 way and thats a brutal KO. But I'll go with skills over power in this one. I'm 100% Khan isnt going to stand in front of Maidana in this one or try to mix it at any stage of the fight.

One question though...anyone know what time this fight is happening? ie UK time...the sky package seems to be more interesting cos you get the Klitschko fight which i'm pretty certain will be around 10pm but if the Khan fight is in the US then thats likely to be many hours later...guessing around 4am? Anyone know? I'm tempted to buy this one....at least its 2 fights for the £14.95 ppv. Though both of 'em could be 1 round blowouts.

for me its really between a KO or a UD for maidana...

Khan might play it too cautious and let maidana lands sme shot probably KD for both fighters...

Khan on points in a one sided fight.

 

Khan late TKO after both fighters being knocked on their ass at least once.

 

Maidana by KO 6th-8th round.

 

It's very possible that the fight turns out as AA-Froch II - one-sided schooling where Maidana will be the punching-bag. Maidana has raw KO-power which cannot be undermined though - first rounds will be the danger- zone for Khan.

Maidana hasn't got the tools to win on points and he surely realises this and goes for the kill early on in the fight

Khan UD is my prediction

 

If Maidana can land early and get Khan's respect from the start, It will be a long cautious fight by Khan. ending in a Maidana decison.
