I hope it was Padraig. I'd put nothing past Wayne, though, he's been talking comebacks for years.

I see the lads on the High Preformance will be looked after after the budget cut the sports grant by 5%. John Treacy and the Sport Council will be meeting in the coming weeks to look into the matters of were the cuts come from.
The way I look at it is in the next few years those grants are going to be slashed again. So what would be nice to see happen be it Aiba or Irish Sports Council in certain sports it would be great to see some of the boxers who got grants and went onto the Pros to give a percentage of there purses towards the running of the High Performance squads in each sector. Say anything between 1 to 5 % to help out the younger boxers to help them train full time just as they themselfs have done so. I wonder if those fighters who have boxed within the High preformance teams would be willing to give back to the AIBA if they were asked?

Wayne also wanted Jeff Fenech, if he could lose about 60 lbs. and get down
    to 135 lbs.
Kind of a senior citizen tournament.
Is Wilfedo (Round as a Potato) Gomez next?

They should cut all the bollocks EXPENSIVE elitist upper class sports that yield next to nothing on the international stage and provide MORE money to improving the facilities for the achievers within boxing.

And no I am not biased! :good

Anyone know what time the first fight is Friday and if there will be drink there? Trying to convince a few mates to go and it might take the promise of beer to convince them!

You'd want a blowjob from a ring girl thrown in if your paying that kind of money.

That sounds rather appealing i must say! at least if he beats martinez he will be seen as the proper middleweight champ! and it'll be big in America so he'll be making a name for himself!
