The blue print to beat Mayweather is to be the better boxer. Speed beats speed.

Come on a Cotto left hook to the body would knock the stuffing out of Floyd. Landing it would be damn hard but if Cotto is in Floyd's face, backs him up, Ala Chavez and Hatton at times did it, Cotto has great timing, a great jab and top inside game.

The best time for Cotto to fight Floyd was when he was at 140 lbs. Cotto would get ****ed up now.

Nope. Floyd tried to brawl with Chavez, found himself sucked into a dogfight that he was finding it tough to win, and switched his tactics to fighting off the backfoot, and started winning easily. Go re-watch, your interpretation of the fight is just plain wrong.

How old is this fight again?? And didn't mayweather win by TKO after Chave'z corner because he was getting cleanly by head snapping uppercuts. What a blueprint. And old fight in which Mayweather stopped his opponent.

it was still a close fight, but mayweather just ran...he didnt add nothing to his skillset, just some good'ol track shoes....

and dont be dumb, the judges scored the 2nd fight closer, by only two rounds if i'm not mistaken....when in the first fight they had only given castillo like 3 or 4 rounds :lol::lol:

How bout a guy who throws nothing. A Cory Spinks like fighter.

A running spoiler who just pot shots like Floyd and gives Floyd zero things to counter. Make Floyd come after you and counter him.

I always thought a frustrating low out put runner/ counterpuncher would beat him

every body bets the house on the next great bigger stonger taller heavier guy to beat floyd and manny

in floyds case i always said this and ppl laugh and say you cant out floyd floyd, well maybe somebody can

When has Floyd ever faced a true counter puncher

JMM and yes I know PBF was much bigger and all that, but JMM barely landed anything on this guy. That shows you how much of another level Floyd is in.

I hate the guy, but hes special in everyway in the ring.

It was not a case of adapting/applying a new strategy. Mosley is a wily veteran. He just got old in this fight.

Zab Judah did this, but Floyd's pressure fighting > Judah's countering potshots.

true you got me with JMM

but I dont take away the JMM win from Floyd ppl say oh the weight difference but to be honest Floyd beat him in the little mans game speed he didnt lay on him tie him up corner him and tire him he won with his feet and reflexes

that said a counter puncher probably has the best chance to catch Floyd flush

Judah has a history of unwinding at it happened there I'm thinking a true counter puncher who would not come apart

You take ANY lightweight (JMM, Soto, Guzman) and put him in the same ring as ANY fully-fledged welterweight (Berto, Floyd, Mosley), and the welterweight will look "special in every way".

Floyd has great skills, but the Marquez fight was a meaningless mismatch. Floyd vs Mosley or Floyd vs Hatton are better examples of Floyd's abilities from the past few years.

I think Floyd made him look old I think too many ppl try and discredit this win

Floyd got caught adjusted even stood in front of Moseley in the pocket and won

I mean Floyd makes ppl look old and slow its just his business

Not like Floyd. Floyd knew exactly what JMM was going to do before he did it. he used crazy reflexes and speed to avoid JMM punches. No one else can do that to JMM...not even Pacman.
