Right I can fix this; I presume Bellew is fit and ready to go, lets have the Clev-Bellew fight now for the EBU title. Tony can then be nice and vacate the commonwealth so McKenzie can fight some numpty for it and Warren gets a bit of credibility back for the ppv.
Clev will get a decent opponent without doubt ;-) Whoever paid for Haye V Harrison cannot compare that bill to this, there streets apart. Like I said Klit V Del is a blow but not the end of the world considering your seeing Khan in his first fight with a serious puncher since Bredis Prescott!! Add Smith V DeGale and you still have an exciting promotion IMHO ;-)
Im still buying it because the Khan-Maidana fight and Ortiz is worth it on its own. But Frank's fighter's opposition is poor, considering it's his 30th year blah blah blah, with the exception of Smith vs Degale. NATHAN CLEVERLY v ALEJANDRO LAKATOS PAUL SMITH v JAMES DeGALE - KELL BROOK v MICHAEL CLARK MATTHEW MACKLIN v RUBEN VARON TONY BELLEW v OVILL MCKENZIE Lakatos, Clark, Varon....Who the hell are they? Brook should be stepping up now, he's only wasting time with crap like this. Macklin vs Varon is pointless. And I don't know anything about Lakatos. The quality of Frank's card has really dipped. He's lucky he is allowed to use Khan vs Maidana to sell his own show because without it this is not PPV worthy. Degale vs Smith is a good fight, but not PPV worthy, it's a British title fight for **** sake. Apart from the Degale fight and seeing how Bellew gets on Im not intrested in anything else on Franks bill.
i knew this would be a let down once warren said after the mag 7 show that he wanted this one in december to be even better, to be fair the fights that were announced werent all that great anyways when you see who was available, clevs, macks and brooks couldve been so much better! im glad i dont have MUG written on my forehead and wont be buying this ****! still at least now you've got all that time inbetween to watch all those **** fights sky wouldve cut out
Tony, would you agree that it hasn't turned out to be frank's big 30th celebration as it was meant to be??? Yes Haye v Harrison was poor for PPV but this was meant to be something big ............... and it's not now
The thing is, this PPV on Saturday is purely for the boxing fans. The Haye-Harrison PPV was for the general public. Boxing fans vote on quality and, I'm afraid to say, this PPV on Saturday doesn't stack up. You can't rely on the general public buying this thing on Saturday, as they won't. Warren and Khan were relying on the boxing fans rallying behind it and, unfortunately, they've lost 90% of them today with all these shocking pull-outs.
