Well if Mayweather has done one good thing for society it's the fact that at least one black man in the world is not considered a thug. He even has people defending crack addiction on ESB. No, he might very well have pretended to be something he wasnt, but he grew up in an average, middleclass area of an average, middleclass city. He might have had a terribly rough childhood for all I know, lots of middle class people do. All I am saying is that he didn't grow up in a "bad part of town"
I live in Grand Rapids and have for 40 years, while it's not Detroit it has some areas I dont care to drive thru. I know where Floyd grew up and the school he went to, it is'nt the worst part of town but far from the best.
