He wants to rematch Antillon then instead. Does this make sense?

No, it does not make sense at all. However, I do not mind seeing another fight between Soto and Antillon.

I think he is trying to become famous by making a trilogy and exciting fans.

    Just Like Morales/Barrera and Marquez/Vazquez

I think its ******ed though why waste yourself on an Average fighter... Fight rios and keep moving up till you make a name for yourself....

If Sota fights Antillon again Rios will most likely fight Ancosta.

    Good question.

It makes good boxing sense for Soto to fight Antillon, cause Antillon is a slow B level brawler, and Soto can "play possum" so that he looks mediocre.

If Soto fight Rios now, Soto will have to fight and show his fierce brutal side, and he'll end up scaring JMM, Pac, MAB, etc into not fighting him.

Soto gains nothing by beating Rios now.

You are assuming Soto wins but Rios will not be an as easy of a fight for him as Antillon was.

Rios has fought nobody, but bums and 2 overrated contenders.

Rios stands no chance against Soto.

The Soto many of you guys have seen fight in his last 5-7 fights is only a fraction of what he can do in the ring.

Soto couldve KO's his last 10 opponents in the 1st round, in a row, but didnt cause he's "playing possum".

No it doesn't. This fight gives him a chance to go onto Showtime and if he wins he will get another fight on American TV again against the winner of Vazquez-Antillon, if he wins those two fights he will get a lot of credit and will have earned a shot at Marquez.

But he has to stop with the bull **** fighting domestic level fighters, he will never get a shot at the big names by doing that because he is unknown in the US and he isn't good enough to go to 140 and win a title.

The Soto-Antillon fight was good, but there's no way Antillon has a chance. If a rematch happens, then so be it I won't complain, but I don't think Soto has much time left either and he's going to have to speed it up and have some real wins vs fighters like Rios which I don't think he can beat before he steps up vs JMM. Soto needs to worry about getting past Rios before thinking about fighting JMM.
