    DeGale is stepping through with his right jab and it's getting a bit ugly with both grabbing on. DeGale gets a second warning for holding. He settles into a rhythm jabbing from the outside. Big right hook misses by DeGale, but is part of a sequence that drives Smith to the corner. Smith has a cut of indeterminate origin. DeGale is still bouncing up and down and jabbing from the outside. Smith steps through with a nice right hand that does get DeGale on the chin. Smith is slapped into a corner in the last five seconds.

    Head butt, rabbit punch... he does everything. Very highly skilled but way too much of these tactics.

    Yeah, it looks to have been an unintentional headbutt that caused the cut.

    DeGale was in the process of throwing a left uppercut, and just leaned up and into it a bit too much.

    DeGale is staying away from the interior, keeping his right jab flowing and covering up well when Smith tries to trap him against the ropes. Smith grabs his right arm mid-jab and they wrestle a bit until broken up. DeGale is really whipping Smith with the right jab and suddenly gets into a long flurry of quick punches as Smith leans back on the ropes. Smith times a couple of nice lead rights as DeGale pushes off with his toes to turn Smith away from the ropes.
