learn to spell you thick ****, and i am highlighting bellews performances in comparison to his verbal diatribe about smashing cleverly. this thread will be bumped every time he spouts more **** about wrecking everyone at 175.

I can imagine him doing much better at cruiser actually. You can't underestimate the relative speed difference, its huge. Bellew would have relatively decent handspeed instead of the modest handspeed he has at light heavy and his opponents would be that much slower. He'd also see the punches coming better.

    good post,
his legs look very skinny in particular, i dont know how much he would improve at 200. i would imagine his punch resistance would improve and he would have more power. The division is weak and he could easily compete with the elite at that division as apart from huck, lebedev and cunningham there is no-one of any note, especially doemstically (bar an old herbie hide)

I have digested this fight as i have any of his fights, he 'tysons' all club fighters but he shown up when he fights anyone of domestic level, both times he has fought a top domestic level fighter he has been dropped.

Cleverly has whooped everyone domestically and won all 3 belts before chasing a world title eliminator. My thread is not saying 'bellew is a bum' or anything insulting, just a thread to highlight the absolute gulf in talent between clev and tony

lol can't believe people do rate bellew. He is unbeaten in 15 fights, has 10 knockouts. Bellew would seriously hurt cleverley. Cleverley was pretty average today but you forgot to bring that up didn't you. Tony bellew proved today he has got what it takes to go far. He got up off the canvas twice to win by KO. Those were punches that any fighter in the world would go down off. As bellew said, there is no way anyone is going to knock him out. Bellew KOs cleverley in 3 rounds. Bellews problem is his trainer. Someone with his ability needs a better trainer. Farnel is not the man.

The problem is that he is to small for 200. I get the impression that his frame is part poor conditioning/weight training and part natural build. He used to look chubby when he fought at Heavyweight in the Amateurs, but then again he won 3 ABA Titles and hold some very decent wins over proven operators.

I think he should try a different conditioner to try something different and see if he can pack the weight on more comfortably and build some extra muscles in the right places.

He was down twice but he got up both times and he wasn't to hurt even though they where both (especially the second) heavy blows.

Personally I feel that 185 would be his perfect weight but there is no 185 division (yet) and on process of elimination 175 is closer to that then 200. I would give him at least 1 or 2 more fights at Light Heavy before giving up on the division.

I will politely disagree, bellew is not a top fighter and pascal would blow him out within 3 to a degree where i would worry for his health.

I agree Farnell ia criminal trainer, his advice in the corner made no real sense and was bollocks. the bit about 'take your title home for your kids for christmas' when he should of been saying, keep the guard up and work off the jab.

the thing is mate, that in 1 or 2 fights he could be beaten, he would be better leaving farnell and working on bumping up a division imho. he seems to want rome in a day aswell, he overlooks fights as he has clev in his sights. The situation is reminiscent of Witter and Hatton. One is beating the world and the other is running his mouth.

I agree despite what he says it is so clear that he isn't concentrating, especially against Ajisafe. Well I'm going to leave it up to him, the man knows his body and he knows what works best for him, at least I hope he does.

But maybe it would be a good idea to have a change of environment and schedule and try a new trainer even if it is only for a short time. Maybe he could go to the US for some sparring, this would give him a chance to get back down to earth and not look further then the guy that is in front of him. Either way I think it is clear that something has to change.

That's right, cos were all in his camp so we all know how much he strggles to make the weight...stop talking like y'all know ****. If you are all that smart then you'll be well aware that LHW is a far more prestigious and lucrative decision. All the big LHW fights are with US fighters, on the whole the don't give a **** about cruisers, just look at USS Cunningham.
