    He's an entertaining fighter.
He's not going to be a world champion or anything but he's a crowd pleaser.

I love the way he complains all the time. Loved the way when the ref was asking if he was ok he was getting angry telling him he was. Bellew is an angry man in that ring. You won't find a more angrier man or more determined man. He sees each fight as a matter of life and death.

I blame the coach TBH. Bellew does not seem to have a game plan. He just goes in there to take them out. Farnell is not the man to take bellew forward. He says the wrong thing in the corner also. He was saying something like 'think of your kids' and 'you can't lose this, you have to win' and 'mckenzie has gone all-in'. Don't rate Farnell. Get over to America Tony.

This interview with Paul Smith, made me change my tune. I'm not really a patriotic person in terms of England & Great Britian. But when Paul Smith was talking about support you're fellew scouser, it resonated with me. As a fighter, i just think Tony Bellew is average, fair enough he can bang abit, but in my opinion he does nothing outstanding. He is a intimdating charactor, and as a person i like the things he says in interviews, he seems like the type of boxer i would want to support. I'm being very honest, but his only just started off he can improve.

Anyone who thinks Bellew is on Cleverly's level at the moment is delusional, and I think Cleverly is a little overrated...

Why is it when a British fighter has a bad fight, its always **** your trainer off and go to America.

We got some good trainers over here and Farnell is a good trainer.

One things for sure... Tony Bellew is fighting GOOD opposition!!

He recovered well from that knockdown. its hard for tony right now because hes fighting shorter guys than him and thats gotta be awkward. tony has great quality and hes getting some great fights in with some very tough, durable and strong opponents, which is good to see. cant say the same for cleverley unfortunately. that kid has a soft core. he doesnt have natural strength or ability. he is a great character and has a big heart but i just dont think he has the skill or strength to compete at world level. bellew on the other hand... well, we know hes tough, skilful and fast, coupled with a good boxing brain id say he could easily be fighting at world level sooner than we think. one thing i would say to bomber though, and i may be outa my depth here, but not every punch has to hurt your opponent. id like to see tony throwing big shots off the end of a combination rather than big 1-2's and str8 rights. i used to love watching maccrinelli throwing 3 or 4 small shots to the head before landing one big one to the bodyand it was very effective. calzaghe used to do the same.

overall i was impressed with tony. i was absolutely gutted after watching smigga get outclassed and outworked against degale, who was fantastic by the way, but then i felt a lot better watching bellew and mckenzie tryin ta smash each other up :good

if frank warren has any sense, he'll keep cleverley well away from Bellew :deal

Arnie is a good trainer. He knows bellew better than us, he knows what will motivate tony and get him foccused, so as funny as the between round speeches were, they may well have been the right thing to say, we aren't in any poistion to say otherwise as wen aren't in the gym everyday

i like tony, his attitude his heart everything......

i also like the fact he seems to be a bit of a crackpot which is good cos he can come out with some good views.

i dont see tony doing anything at world level but ive been wrong before, you cant fault the lad tho, very entertaining fighter..... and getting up of that 2nd knockdown shows how much he wants it!

I'm a fan definitely. But his chin is a concern, if he's getting dropped at this level how's he going to fair when he steps up to European and World level?

Should he be fighting at Cruiser anyway? He looks weight drained at 175 to me and maybe that's a reason why his punch resistance doesn't look great.

tony bellew has bags of heart and plenty of raw talent.
I felt that last night ,and the ajisafe fight ,that he doidn't have enough variation. He went searching for a lot of head and not enough body shots,he needed to bring the hands down first.
He could have employed a better jab to work off ,although he did find himself in the trenches early.
lets not ignore his battling pride and will to win,he's needed it over his last two bouts.!
still somewhat incomplete for me though, on a good learning curve.I believe that he is at the same level as Cleverly, although i would have said Cleverly was better until last night.
I have a lot of respect for Farnell,he knows Bellew better then us,and he knows what motivates him best.Whatever he says between rounds is said for Tony's benefit and i would not argue. As for dropping him,,,come on!.They will learn together untill he needs to move up,,why throw away the knowledge of an experienced man at this stage??
