Khan's chin has improved massively

Khan needs another 2-3 fights before even thinking about taking on a mega fight between himself and PBF. He is too raw and does not fight well under pressure. But he does have all the ingredients to make it HUGE. Khan dominates the division at 140. Mark my words.

 

I hate to point this out guys... but Khan is on PEDs, Cortez was bought by Golden Boy, Maidana is shot and has a glass rib cage.










In all seriousness both guys fought well. When it was a boxing match Khan was pissing it. When Maidana got on top Khan looked nervous and lost his composure. Khan seemed to get countered too easily and didn't utilise his speed advantage enough. Cortez was favouring Khan by deducting a point from Maidana without any warning and allowing Khan to hold on waaaaaaay too often. Khan proved he has balls, heart, and a decent chin.

Great fight. Great experience for Khan. Great fun to watch.

 

Before you guy go all cho cho on the amir dick train, lets not forget he fought a fighter who is sloppy and not an accurate with his punches at all.. what would have happen if Kahn was in with a more accurate puncher who is able to follow up on his damage?

His chin hasnt improved, hes better conditioned. That is the difference. I was immpressed with his speed as always, but he has some serious defensive flaws....It also seems to me that Roach has tailored the way he trains him and his gameplan around the fact that he knows he doesnt have a great chin. Anyone else he would have told in the corner after the 1st round to go back to the body. I think if Maidana had more energy he would have got the KO. That was a great bodyshot Kahn landed

 

I'm delighted for Khan. I still think he's a bit of a spa but the fact he has so many haters makes me root for him. He shocked everyone tonight, he essentially pwned all of ESB. I tip my hat to Amir Khan and Abner Mares tonight.

fun fight to watch could have used more fair and less firm from Cortez on those weak breaks

FOUR THINGS STOOD OUT IN THIS FIGHT:

Maidana is like a Mini Margarito - never stops coming forward and will absorb as much punishment as he long as he can land some of his own.

Khan DOES have a chin. He took some monster ****ing shots. He didn't eat them, but he survived them.

Maidana is a ****ing punk - he tried to land a haymaker as Khan tried to touch gloves at the opening bell?

Khan has balls of steel. Couldn't actually believe he was banging his gloves together Pac-style after taking bombs.

Don't think anyone can say Khan has a bad chin on tonight's evidence. Yes, Maidana hurt him but Maidana has a 90% KO rate for crying out loud. No shame in being hurt by Maidana! And Khan stayed on his feet...
