    Agree with you twitterchamp

The ref needs to retire already. I was supporting Khan but even I can't believe how much holding Khan got away with!!

I think he wanted to elbow Cortez who was always on him as soon as he got close to Khan.

On the improvement of Khan's chin:
    1. Adding weight on his lanky 5 10 frame.
    2. Better conditioning improves punch resistance.
    3. Having Roach in his corner has worked wonders for his confidence. The psychological aspect of taking a good punch is underrated.
    4. Improved defense.

actually cortez did do a horrible job last night. he let amir khan hold on for dear life, actually thats all khan did, hold and run. i remember floyd vs hatton, cortez didnt cut them a break to clinch. but like i said early, khan one due to his clinching, should have had a point deducted. khan against a bradley will get schooled and please stop with the khan pacman comparasions, they are not even close.

whats with all this moaning. Fair enough the ref might have allowed Khan to get away with holding and other things but all theres no need for all these excuses.what happened in the fight, happened and madiana had a point deducted for a reason. He probably should have only got a wearning but he still shouldnt have been throwing an elbow. Khan showed a great heart and chin in this fight and was the rightful winner in the end. All this bitching and moaning is just taking away from the great qualities Khan showed us. After almost every single big fight, theres always excuses as to why a fighter lost. theres mostly bull**** excuses and this is another one. And if Khan fights Madiana again i can see it being a close fight . Roach will definetly make sure to work more on Khans boxing and stopping him from getting into a brawl. I think Khan will stay far more disciplined than he was last night and widely outpoint or stop Madiana late, if they fight again

Khan had no intention of turning this into a brawl. He got caught repeatedly while trying to dance away because Maidana has deceptive foot speed. He can close distance fast and was able to hunt him down. That won't change. The rematch could go either way especially since Maidana was the one who adjusted better after the first few rounds and who knows how the fight would've gone if he hadn't taken the crippling body shot. I guarantee you Khan does not take a rematch. It was a deserved win but it would be a very stupid career move for him to take another fight like that unless it's a few years down the road when Maidana looks shopworn as he certainly will due to his style.

He was right to dock the point. Maidana moving his arm backwards in that motion he evidently tried to elbow Khan. Yeah he missed, but the intent was there. And what if Cortez didn't dock a point and Maidana thought 'I'll try it again' and then did land and did some damage. Taking the point deterred him from doing it again.

Khan possibly should have been docked a point for holding behind the head though.

No, according to you he was supposed to drop within the first few rounds when Maidana landed his first shot! Instead he went on to fight Maidana's fight, dropping him in the process, and doing enough to survive and get a points win in a FOTY candidate.

    You're full of ****, Jerome.

If so, then Ali should have been DQ'd 15 times in Foreman and Frazier fights.

I didn't see any BLATANT mistakes from Perez. I don't think that these minor ones would affect the outcome.

I did post that the key to the fight was how Khan would react to getting hit by Maidana. I said it may not put him down but would it change the way Khan fights and make him make more errors. Thats exactly what happened. I do think Maidana deserve major props though.

Ali should have been penalised of sorts in Frazier II. Khan did hold behind the head and push his head down a lot, he could have been docked a point but I'm not arguing that he should have.

    Ok, I get it.

In the FOREMAN fight though, Ali did LOADS and LOADS of holding behind the head and pulling down. That's another story, I know..
