He did prove something though. Maidana throws those shots hard and with murderous intentions. He caught Khan quite a few times before the tenth and Amir appeared fine. In the tenth he somehow managed to survive that bomb.

While some people seem to be going way over the top I think a lot of people are just genuinely surprised by the way the fight played out. I think he proved something last night even if he didn't prove he is Marvin Hagler in the chin department.

Hatton is like Maidana but a lot better in every department. He'd cut the ring off and stop Khan inside 6.

Khan can take punches to certain parts of the face ok but the actual core of the chin seems shaky. Its less than average for a top level boxer at best.

So you saying that Khan has iron temples but a dodgy chin?

I have no worries about Khan as Bradley nor Alexander have the tools to trouble him.

He doesn't have a great chin, but considering he has been knocked down by feather fisters, and almost by a Prescott jab, to take a considerable amount of punches from one the hardest hitters in boxing and still be standing is quite amazing.

Amir never had a good chin, and he never will. What he can do is improve his defense and learn how to react when hurt. Fight smart and work on taking away an opponent's best punches instead of acting like a puncher.

I don't think Khan has a great chin. I just think it's better than most people think and laugh in the faces of those who thought it was glass for Maidana to shatter.

Again, my response to those who thought Khan's chin would break like glass last night:

Is fair to say Khan has a decent chin at this weight, Maidana does hit "that" hard, he hurt Kotelnik ffs who seems to have one of the best chins in the Biz at the moment.
