The use of Parrying today in Boxing

    How many fighters do you see actually using it. Even if its here and there. They teach it in Gyms. For example, someone throws a jab and you parry that with your right hand from orthodox stance then through a cross or a left hook. Hopkins does a little.

    Floyd Mayweather fight and he parries a lot mostly when his opponent jabs. Another good example is Pernell Witaker. You just have to look close enough and you'll see a lot of fighters using it

    It's used a lot but normally it happens so quick that it's hard to spot.

    Pavlik did it a lot whenever he was in with an opponent with a decent jab. Watch the two Taylor fights and the McKart fight.

    Winky Wright parryed a lot, Floyd Jr does as well, a good amount of fighters use parry's it's hard to notice because it's a slight very fast movement and there usually also moving there upper body or countering or smack a jab down launch your own or a quick right hand etc.
