Snap its the fight that made me a ******* but Barrera is one of my all time faves and to see ( if not quite peak , still very very good version of ) him get so utterly handled was painful

Glad for Larry, who finally got his due and broke free from the Ali mystique.

Sad for Ali, who was there to absorb a frightful beating in a fight that he knew
he wasn't going to win.

Angelo Dundee taking credit for stopping the fight and preventing his fighter from
further punishment, when he should have called a halt to the massacre in the
8th round, when Ali really got hurt.
Screaming, 'I'm the chief second, and I stop the fight'.
That should have been said after the 8th round.

Bundini Brown, believing he could will Ali into winning, just by splurting his jumbled
and pathetic rhymes. And trying to will Ali back out for the 11th Round.
Brown stated; 'C-mon champ, rounds 11 thru 15, will clock Holmes clean'

Referee; Richard Green, who wanted to stop the fight in the 8th round, when Ali was hurt and
backed against the ropes, while trying to turn sideways in an attempt to avoid Holmes rain of hard punches.
Green looked fearful as he wanted to stop it, but realized he would have been brutlized by everyone for stopping it.
So, in fear of possible after fight scrutiny, he allowed a massacre to continue for 2 more rounds.

Hatton v Mayweather - obvious when you look at my user name

It was built up so much, Mayweather with his brash deminor and Hatton with his fighting spirit. I got sucked into the "Hatton will be too relentless" for Mayweather notion. When he finished him in the 10th I was devestated, I had only seen Hatton down once before and I never thought mayweather could TKO him

Tyson v Williams - The REAL Tyson would have destroyed Williams, I knew it was already the end of a Legend after the first bell

Hamed v Barrera - Hamed has been in a decline for years and Barrera embarrassed a fighter who got everyone talking about boxing. I miss Naz, his entrance, interviews and fighting style!

Khan v Prescott - Hand picked opponents for too long and got exposed, but Im so proud of him now and how far he has come

Cotto v Margarito - He broke Cotto's heart, I dont think he'll ever be the same again

Mayweather v Gatti - a warrior got embarrassed that day, very sad.

Lewis v Rahman - one lucky punch, but got rectified

Hatton v Pacquiao - No way should Hatton have gone out like that, he wasn't a 2 round job for Pacquiao. By then his lifestyle had caught up with him and he wasn't the same fighter that broke Tyuzus heart. Walked straight in with maximised the power from Pacquiaos shot.

I hope people remember the REAL Hatton - the war with Tyuzu, his fight with Thaxton, destroying Castillo (but by then Castillo wasn't the same) and his amaziing body punches which lead him to a world title

 

Jones-Hopkins 2 because I truly believe that Prime Jones beats him 9 times out of 10. The second fight should never have happened and Roy didnt need that loss to Hopkins.
