The question that must be asked is: Is Pacquiao in his prime now? Roach has molded and expanded his game tremendously, and Pacquiao is much better all around now than he ever was. He also seems as fast as ever and his stamina is unbelievable. If he's in his prime now then, he could still continue to improve his legacy and get fights that can actually challenge him in one way or another. If he continues to fight these fighters who are clearly past their best (although still good fighters), just to make the most money, he is then in a way cheating himself and his legacy. It's called selling out. Mayweather was accused of this recently and was constantly criticised for not fighting the best. When R.A. The Rugged Man made had interview, and attacked Floyd for not fighting the best, people on here had a field day, and a lot of them were "*******s". Why should it be any different now, when Pac is doing it?
The MLB stars that were caught doping have to be ashamed of themselves....NOT ALL Baseball players doped but a good majority of them did. Of course they had a lot of pressure on them to perform and the owners of the teams would even enable their top guys to roid up. So in my opinion a lot of the blame has got to be placed on the shoulders of the higher ups. Of course their legacy are tarnished.....they are known as CHEATS...That's not exactly what they had in mind when they thought about how they'd be remembered in the sport they gave so much to. And I'm sure they would do it differently if they could turn back the hands of time. But it's comical that the TS is trying to make it seem as if PAC has a tarnished legacy like the Baseball players we're discussing. PAC's legacy is sparkling with a very bright future ahead. PAC is proof that you don't need to cheat to be the best...cutting corners is tempting and a lot of athletes fall into the trap but let's face it.....Not everyone has the kind of talent guys like Manny are blessed with...so sometimes they find ways to bump themselves up a notch or two.
Do this for the other boxers in the list and you have a point. Otherwise, you just come out as a hater.
You do know that Mark McGuire was immediately condemned and torn to pieces in the media for stating in a US senate hearing on Steroids in baseball, "I'm not here to talk about the past, I'm here to talk about the future." McGuire at the point had never admitted to using PED's, but the world media condemned him nonetheless....... McGuire stating, "I'm not here to talk about the past, I'm here to talk about the future.".....is the equivalent of Pacquiao turning down Mayweather's request for random blood and urine testing. ......rightfully, everyone saw right through McGuire, as anyone with a brain should have seen right through Pacquiao........in boxing however, even the boxing media is often times controlled and bought off by promoters like convicted briber Bob Arum.:deal
Manny Pacquiao- 9 months younger than Antonio Margarito, Has been fighting pro since 1995 ( 15 years pro ) :deal
