I see he is considered the best 168bs Canadian fighter. He fights in the same stable as Bute. Looks like he took a loss at 160lbs and just moved up to 168lbs with an impressive 2nd round KO of Sebastien Demers. How good is this guy?
I must admit I don't really know. He is already 38 and hasn't done much so far. But he looks good and would absolutely beat Stieglitz for the WBO belt. Then hopefully a (very lucrative) unification bout with Bute.:bbb
He's a good fighter Problem is, like previously mentioned, is his age. He's already 38. But he is slick and he has a lot of power.
He's a bit too old, but could do some damage in the next year. He's got great power, but he can be outboxed quite easily. Demers is not a bad fighter and should/could've won, but his confidence is at his lowest these days. I would take St-Juste's last victory with a grain of salt because of it.
St-Juste is a "young" 38 years old. Meaning he has always been in good condition and has not been through many wars in the ring.
The best 168 pouds Canadian fighter is... Bute. I'd say St-Juste is at a good gatekeeper level. Pantera, is a St-Juste-Miranda fight in negociation? The winner facing Stieglitz? How is Edison?
His punch hits like a brick but he waits too much for the perfect occasion to land that shot and a good boxer could win rounds while St-Juste is still waiting. The odds are against him if he faces Stieglitz but he still has a chance of winning.
Good analysis...:goodHowever, IMO St-Juste Ko Stieglitz inside 6 ...Stieglitz struggled badly against Ornelas who is very average and Ornelas hit him with ease and did'nt even let his hands really go in the fight...
A fellow Québécois poster just quoted Renan St-Juste on his next fight, on the March the 19th Bute undercard. St-Juste himself said that his foreseen opponent has links to both Bute and Pascal. Bute fought Miranda and Pascal was supposed to, 2 years ago. That means the Bute-Magee fight will be boring but with Molitor-Ndlovu and Miranda-St-Juste, the card will be pretty good.
