JMM should have given Cortez a bonus or something for allowing the fight to continue after round 1. If Cortez stopped it following the 3rd knockdown nobody would have question that decision. However, he was proven correct at the end.
I had the fight 9-3 for Marquez. Do the math, even with the judges 10-6, JMM wins. But for those who bring that up, we can equally bring Cortez reffing inconsistancy. He DQ Soto for grazing Lorenzo's head, but totally ignores Pac's punch when JMM was down. At best you take a point away from Pac, and at worst he does the same and DQs Pac. Bottom line is you can't have it both ways..:good
I'm sure Arum gave Cortez a nice bonus not to DQ or take a point from Pac. This is the same Cortez who DQ Humberto Soto for grazing Lorenzo's head after he was down.
Exactly but the fact that Marquez doesn't have a solid foundation to support that he won those twice against Pac.
They are 1-0-1 with both fights being contraversial. Sounds like damn good reason to have the rubbermatch!
They're running out of fighters to face pac. Floydie is busy with something so they have no choice but to defend someone for the meantime.
But you are comparing an error that is factual to a ref's judgement call which is subjective. They don't carry the same weight, not comparable at all. Marquez is relevant now only because he gives some sore fans hope of a payback. But we all know what the outcome would be. Don't worry though I have a feeling that if not Floyd late 2011 it will be Marquez. Marquez should fight at 140 first with a convincing win then he gets the Pacquiao shot.
Why are pacfans so mad? Pac's camp is afraid to match him up again with the great jmm they fear another similar outcome.... mosely next.. safer money <<<<<< good pic
