Bute is a good fighter....Ward is a good fighter....but both of them loose at the hands of the cobra... especially if the fight isnt in oakland or canada
If they fight in California Ward wins he has the judges and the ref on his side. Seems like the same thing in Bute's case if they fought in Montreal . Probably they will fight in Vegas , they need a good ref that won't tolerate Ward's head butting and elbows . Bute is a pretty clean boxer.
Guys like Mayweather, Berto, Bradley, Alexander, Cloud, Ward and Dirrell always gets KO, Stopped or Shut-out by wide decisions on these hypothetical and/or fantasy match-ups. ESB Posters (other Boxing Forums have more knowldgeable Fans) always based their predictions based on emotion and/or their dislike for a fighter rather than styles, technique, skill...etc. That's why Ward and Dirrell didn't stand a ****ing chance in the Super 6 in the opinion of Most ESB Posters. Yet Both held their own and outboxed Belt-Holders Kessler, Abraham and Froch...easily. Mayweather has lost more fantasy match-ups than the X-Men...Losing to Tzsyu by KO, and even Losing to Jesse James Lejias by TKO. With that being said...Bute by KO in the Forum, Ward by Close decision....IN THE RING!!! However...It would not surprise me if Bute get a close decision also, Very Talented Fighter.
tough call. as long as the fight is not in oakland, bute stands a chance. ward is good, but not that good offensively. bika gave him hell, **** the scorecards. that said, i think they are both very talented fighters, but i think ward's inexperience against a southpaw of bute's calibur will be the difference in a tough split decision and uneventful win for bute, unless ward can turn it into an inside fight. if the fight becomes a sloppy inside battle, ward wins UD.
Ward takes it 8-4 on neutral venue. Ward takes it 9-3 in Oakland. Ward takes a garbage SD if its in Canada. WARD IS THE BETTER FIGHTER...
Bute by knockout! Why do you think Ward refused to allow Bute to fight in the tournament? Why did Ward demand that he get all his fights in his home town with his personal referee and judges? It's obvious.
Bute is over hyped in my opinion, he's good, heck he might be the best at 168, but until he fights the other top 168ers we really won't know. Who's his best win? Librado Andrade? Who nearly KO'd him in their first fight. Ward can claim to be the best by beating Kessler who was considered the best until that loss. Froch also has an argument at being the best given his past 5 fight opponent and he's 4-1 (wins against: Pascal, Taylor, Dirrell, Abraham and a close loss against Kessler). Kessler can still make a claim to be the best given his win over Froch who was on a streak and his other credentials in the division. Then there's Dirrell who gave Froch a nightmare last 5 rounds and schooled Abraham, whilst it'd be a stretch to call him the best in the division I don't think it's unfair to say he might be better than Bute. I'm not saying all those guys would beat Bute, or that they wouldn't, but until we see Bute in the ring with one of them we really don't know where he is placed in the division. If you're looking for the best in the division at the moment you'd be harsh not to give it to Ward or Froch based off the level of competition they're facing as opposed to Bute.
