i asked larry donald through facebook yesterday who wins solis or vitali................donald has sparred with solis and has fought vitali as a pro andhas sparred with vitali many times in the past........he said because of vitalis age that solis would win with speed...???????? ummm does solis have speed at 260 lbs..???????...but u never know vitali could get old overnite..........but i doubt it vitali/solis would look like vitali/peter....:smoke:smoke:smoke
If you rewatch round one of Vitali vs. Peter you see how Vitali totally destroyed Peter's willpower with a few hard left hooks. Likely Vitali would try a similar early ambush with Solis in order to shake his confidence. Given how easily Austin could land on Solis I do not see why an awkward Vitali can't land at will on Solis.
All due respect to Donald who was a pretty damn good boxer himself, but I disagree, Vitali will stop solis
i havent seen the whole solis/austin fight...... but solis isnt even as ggod as sam peter...............
Solis is certainly a much better technical boxer than Peter. A top conditioned and sharp Solis could present some problems to an aging Vitali but I just don't see that happening. The main problem with Solis I see are a) he appears to be feather fisted b) his footwork is terrible, Vitali will have no problem keeping the distance c) we know nothing about the quality of his chin
I remember when Vitali knocked Donald out in Germany years ago. Vitali was the first to stop Donald. Richie Giachetti and Donald were making fun of Vitali's video's in Germany, laughing, said that Donald would knock Vitali out, mismatch, Donald was too fast, etc., but when Donald got into the ring, it was a different story, it was a mismatch, yes, easy knockout by Vitali, plus, Vitali won every round easily. They just did not know how good Vitali really was, they had been reading all the American Boxing Media propaganda! Solis? Mismatch, Vitali by knockout. If Austin can land on Solis, Vitali will land even more, only with much harder punches and Vitali will not stop punching. Solis was sucking wind against a slow Austin.
