Judges rob Hopkins against Calzaghe, and now Pascal

I would like to see your ChinChecking credentials before I grace this thread with my salient expertise any further.

I thought Hopkins beat Calzaghe as well, but it was a close fight and can't be classed as a robbery.

 

Calzaghe outlanded Pascal 3 times in his fight vs. Hopkins, and other than this fact (that should settle the Slappy debate), I have problems seeing what significance that fight holds in this debate. I always suggest people to score a debated fight backwards (R12, R11 etc) so they wouldn't be affected by early knowdowns (to avoid the 'damn the can explode at any second!!!' scoring mentality) and you'll give 7 to 9 rounds to Slappy.

Calzaghe clearly beat Hopkins. Hopkins fans cant accept that Hopkins lost, but he did.
Calzaghe landed more solid shots as well as flapping at times. Calzaghe outlanded Hopkins. Hopkins is known for his strong finishes but look at the facts, if Hopkins thought he was winning he wouldnt have been faking injury, looking for time out and holding like he did, whilst Calzaghe finished very strong.
Calzaghe beat Hopkins at a new weight Calzagehe hadnt fought before, in America with 3 American judges. It was only a SD as the judge that scored for Hopkins gave Hopkins round 11 a round Joe clearly won. The other 2 judges didnt even have it close and scored wide for Calzaghe.

Calzaghes win looks better and better.

Clear Calzaghe win, accept Hopkins lost and move on

 

Yeah Hopkins should have won both fights ( Calzaghe, Pascal). Hopkins was the clear winner in both fights.

 

There was only a point in it either way between Hopkins and Calzaghe. It's literally impossible to properly score that fighter to either man by more than a point.

I haven't seen Pascal/Hopkins. But the punch stats show that Hopkins landed more in every single round.

Are these fights really comprable, and what is your definition of a robbery?

I think it is slightly different to mine.

 

I said it 2 weeks ago that Hopkins would win the fight but get robbed by the judges in Canada and some of you Canadians jumped all over me and said I don't know what I'm talking about. The proof is in the pudding.... and yes, Hopkin's did get robbed against Calzaghe too. I had that fight 7-5 Hopkins.

 

Calzaghe won.
