Last night, we witnessed two rarities in Boxing. The ultra feather-fisted Paulie Malignaggi winning by TKO :)rofl) for the first time in 7 years, and the iron-chinned Bernard Hopkins touching down not once, but twice.

Malignaggi was in with a complete can, but even in the past against those type of fighters he hasn't been able to rack up enough punishment to warrant a TKO. Paulie didn't knock dude clean out, but Lozado at times seemed to be bothered by Paulie's punches and was seemingly wanting out prior to the stoppage.

The Hopkins knockdowns were both flash, but I think both also were both legit. The first knockdown appeared to land on the side of the head to me, and I don't think there's any controversy with the second one.

Even considering the circumstances, both were surprising sites to see. I don't know which I consider more shocking.

    Paulie KO'd someone.

That is easily the most shocking thing in the last 5 years of boxing.

PM winning by TKO. Seven yrs. fighting w/o a TKO is one hell of a streak.

The knockdowns may or may not have been legit, but they were weak and B Hop was not hurt. Pascal certainly didn't capitalise. Unfortunate really, given the decision.

However Malignaggi getting a TKO really is a turn up. Even he couldn't believe it.
How can Lozado ever show his face again? He must be soooo embarresed!

Malignaggi TKO. Bernard is old as hell and Pascal hits pretty hard so I expected him to get knocked down or maybe even KOed.

Malignaggi is a beast, I predicted he'd featherdust this fool. If he wouldve used the same tenacity, he mightve shattered Khans gkass too!
