One day somebody will make a movie about the most underrated fighter and most underrated athlete in American history.

From Prison to standing up against promoters, handling his own career and shocking people after 40 time and time again.

True living legend with the greatest ring entrance song of all time.

A movie about Hopkins life would be so much Better than The Fighter, which I found to be slick Hollywood fluff. Maybe they can get Ryan Gosling to play Bernard

If Someone told you in 2000 Hopkins and Manny would be ahead of RJJ and Floyd in 2010 people would laugh in your face.

    James J Braddock maybe?

There is a biopic of Roberto Duran being made too, that's an incredible story.

I wouldn't. I'd be getting people to place bets for me. You never seen Back to the Future 2?

Hopkins can play himself & then proceed to get robbed at the Academy's.
(By an overrated "Insert"_____ flash in the pan actor)

    YES!!!

I was telling my gf during the fight about his story and she also agreed it would make a hell of a movie. Wasnt there talks about this a while ago?

From Prison to a legend. That Hollywood worthy.

I wonder which fight would be the dramatic climax of the movie?
-Unifying the MW crowns beating up ODLH? Too one sided + DLH too small to be a villain
-Tarver for the LHW crown? Too one sided
-Pavlik when nobody gave BHop a chance? Too one sided
-Calzaghe in losing the crown? Nah too messy and losing title is bad ending
-Roy Jones Junier? Jones came from a loss, hardly a worthy end boss, and messy fight

Yesterday's fight seem great, an old fighter trying to redeem himself coming from a messy unimpressive Jones and Ornelas wins!! There is enough drama into that one, the two knockdowns can be depicted as if BHop is badly hurt to create more drama, and then BHop fighting back very very hard. With the fight being a draw with the robbery is a suitable ending for him :D

I think Hopkins and RJJ are more comparable as rivals than Manny and Floyd.

The fact that he has been such a dirty fighter in his career does not help him. He has disgraced himself without his tactics in alot of his fights.
