He was weight drained for Bute, everyone knows that, plus he wasn't in his prime. He also had a fever before he fought Bute, and he was robbed by the judges when they stopped the fight prematurely. Zuniga beats Bute now.

    ????

The guy was usually fighting at MIDDLEWEIGHT. He fought at SMW, which means that he was NOT drain. You could see against Bute he was simply too small and then Zuniga goes at LHW...Makes no sense to me BUT when you have a belt as a possible reward, this is inviting:) The guy have balls but when you look at all this, let's give some credit to Bute. Maybe, it is harder than we think to find a guy willing to fight Bute and that could explain the choice of his next opponent (if it's true) who is way past his prime. Maybe he was the most credible WILLING fighter left....

I like Gwen Ifill over P-Dub by late stoppage.

That was an insane body shot Bute hit him with.

That's right. Cloud's power wasn't overrated..! Zuniga was and still is tough. He took big hooks all night from Cloud. Pavlik took 9 rounds before putting him out. Colombians. :D

Bute's body shots are to be reckoned with... I'm not sure Ward is as tough as a never-knocked-down Andrade. It'll be interesting if Ward pulls the pressure fighter card when they fight.

I remember telling some friends during that fight after Bute landed some wicked body shots, "..one more of those and its over. " Wham. He ends it with a body shot. Stepped in that one.

I've been critical of Cloud for not stopping Zuniga, but I'm not sure how fair that is. The guy is about as close to un-knockout-able as fighters get. Pavlik stopped him, but at the time KP had a KO ratio over 90%, and all totaled he has stopped 7 or 8 guys who had never been stopped before.

Bute stopped him with a picture perfect liver shot, but I think Bute stops anybody around the weight if he lands that shot.

Cloud only has 22 fights, and over the years Zuniga has fought better opposition than Cloud. Zuniga has an awkward, herk-jerky, style that would be hard for an inexperienced fighter to deal with. In addition, to this very day Zuniga has only lost to world titlists and world champions. Abraham ducked him for a reason!

No -- he just beat him into submission.
