It would have been nice to close that circle a few years back when they were super featherweights, but the window has closed (and rusted shut).

I feel the same way about Juan Manuel Marquez fighting Erik Morales that I did about his brother Rafael fighting Israel Vazquez the 4th time. :bart

I wonder if the experience Marquez went through fighting Floyd has made him just cynical enough to enjoy taking on this fight and making people believe it's a fair one. That plus he wants a win over the last guy to beat Manny to use as a bargaining chip.

As a big Morales fan it pains me to say this, but Marquez probably would have beaten him at any weight. Erik needed someone who would go to war with him to be at his best. Marquez would have known better, especially in his prime.

Wait a minute, you have both Pacquiao and Barrera, both having 2 wins against Morales, under Morales? It's doesnt even matter if these two fight because it seems that your mind is already made up over who is better.

To be fair, Morales is God.

    That's hard to top.

Marquez would beat Morales up at this stage.

Back in the early 2000s at 126, that's damn near a pick-em fight IMO.

To be fair to Marquez, Pacquiao is the fight he wants and the fight most people want to see Pacquiao in besides Mayweather.......

If Pacquiao avoids Marquez, then unfortunately for Morales fans ( because I do feel for them) Morales is the next best money fight for Marquez......
......so even though I hope a Marquez-Morales fight does'nt happen, I cant blame Marquez for taking it.

At this point in their careers, Morales will be stopped by round 9.
