how is he overrated? if anything hes underrated and gets a lot of unwarranted hate. You're face is overrated.

I think Vitali always had great power but since his comeback from his back injury he hasn't sat down on his punches like he used to.

I have always been of the opinion that Vitali has NEVER had great power, not like his brother, but, his power is punishing enough to keep guys honest. He gets KO's by staying busy.

Power might be overrated but his skills are underrated.

He hits hard, but he isnt a One punch KO guy. He's an accumulation puncher.

All his opponents always comment on hard he blasts them, so he is doing something right. Wladimir hits harder single shot, as does Haye, or even Briggs, not that it mattered

Can we cut the **** about Tyson? He's nowhere near as hard a puncher as Vitali. Tyson never beat anyone with a pulse. Numerous 'cans KO'ed him and went the distance.

well Foreman knocked out a lot of stiffs, as did shavers, as did tyson as did dempsey as did Louis. Marciano probably knocked out less stiffs than these guys mentioned.

All the well known big punchers did it. Shavers is probably the worst with padded Ko's Id say vitali is involved in this discussion as a hardest puncher, just not a 1 shot guy.

Other notables were baer and Liston. I can easi;y see both Kl;its in the all time disucssion.

He beats people up rather than KO's them clean. However, he has enough pop to shut down Haye and the less durable heavyweights.

Vitali is not the hardest hitter of all time. He is a very good puncher though, who has lost a little power due to shoulder, knee, and back surgeries.

    Punch for a punch Wlad>Vitaly
But Vitaly has higher work rate and more consistent with his punches.
When Wlad hits 5 times only 1 of them is power punch when Vitaly hits 5 times 5 of them is power punches.

This. The way he fights works very well for him and there's no reason to change it. Most of his fights result in him winning by near shutout or KO.

Most hardcore boxing fans know he's not the biggest puncher ever so I wouldn't say his power is overrated. Most fans can also agree that his brother is the harder puncher between the two.

:blood It's not lucky when you throw that many punches. He's pretty committed to beating the **** out of you until you can't go anymore and skilled enough to execute that plan.
