Many people on here are bashing the selection of Sugar Shane Mosley as the next opponent for Manny Pac. People are saying he is old, shot, and can't fight a full 12 rounds anymore.

Well, I'm here to tell you it's all wrong.

Shane Mosley is an absolute beast, and it will show on May 7th.

As I go through my assesment of Shane, I am going to list some of the arguments against Shane getting this fight.

    1. Many people say Shane is shot and old, and they base that on his last two performances.

Lets take a look at this argument:

When Shane fought MAyweather, he was clearly distracted. He was going through a terrible, soul killing divorce. He was also distracted by the OSDT, which constantly interrupted his training camp, and the amount of blood they took clearly drained him.

He also had not fought in 1.5 years, and knew that he was fighting a ducker and cherry picker in Mayweather. He didn't respect Mayweather as an opponent at all, as we all know, as he did, that Mayweather would run from him all night long.

People also say that Mosley basically gave up after the 2nd round, and in effect, he did. He did this because he knew Floyd had no balls, and would try to pity pat his way to a decision. After the 2nd round, which was one of the most explosive, dramatic moments in all of boxing history, he knew Floyd was just going to run, and he simply lost interest. Why should he, a proud warrior, give his all just to chase around a overrated prima donna, who cherrypicked his way to the top?

As for the Mora fight, well Shane was blatently robbed. The boxing political machine wanted Mora to ascend to superstardom from that fight, so they ignored what was a superb and gutsy boxing exhibition from Mosley.

Keep in mind that Mosley beat down one of the most dangerous middleweights in the world in Mora. The fact that they called it a draw is immaterial, as anyone who appreciates boxing looks at that fight and sees the artful mastery from Mosley.

    2. JMM, Berto, or the Bradley-Alexander winner deserve the Manny fight more than Shane.

Well, this argument is simply preposterous. JMM was lucky enough to survive 2 fights with a weight drained Pacman, who clearly was wearing the wrong socks, had blisters on his feet, and was robbed on nearly all 6 judges scorecards. JMM is a decent fighter, but his little success against Pacman came from his slightly better than average chin, and what could only be described as a series of lucky punches he landed in both fights.

Also, JMM wants to fight at a catchweight of around 142-144. Pacman would have to eat 6 meals a day instead of 7, and this would drain him to the brink of being in a coma.

Also, who is JMM to ask for weight concessions? Pac can certainly ask for weight concessions from bigger opponents, and there is nothing wrong with that! Why? Because Pac is doing it so the fighters come in at thier optimal weights, with no fat on there bodies at all. That way they are chiseld, lean, and able to punch harder and move faster. All JMM wants to do drain Pac so that he has a chance to win. And for someone who can only kindly be described as the less talented, uglier, **** drinking cousin of MAB and EM, it simply wont fly.

As far as Berto or the winner of Bradley-Alexander, who are they to even dare to challenge Pacman? Sure, they may be young, fast, and strong, but they havent gone through the humbling and maturity building experience of having a terrible loss on thier record. Once they reach that point, then, and only then, should they even mention Pacman's name. As Floyd Mayweather has shown us, being undefeated, reigning world champions means very little.

    3. Mosley can't possibly win against Pac at this stage of his career.

This is just pure hogwash. Shane knows that he fighting a boxing deity in Pacman, and will train like a madman, and get himself in optimal condition. He is not fighting some runner who will try to steal a decision. He is fighting the epitome of alpha male dominance, a flawless specimen of fistic perfection. He wants this fight, and will prepare the best he possibly can. Speed, power, stamina, he has it all!

This is why Pac is so great. He only fights boxers who are at thier absolute best, which is why he is picking Mosley. When he fought Hatton, he was coming off a career best performace against the ever dangerous Paulie Malinaggi. When he fought Cotto, Pac had him weigh in at his optimal weight of 145lbs, and Cotto never looked faster or stronger. He was also coming off of a career best beatdown victory of Joshua Clottey.
DLH came down to welterweight, which we all know is his most accomplised weightclass.

So why would one doubt, given everything that has occured, that Mosley would be anything less than a raging, beastly wolf when he fought Pac?

This fight is going to a be a titanic battle between 2 HOFers at the top of thier game. This fight will go down in the annals of history as one of the most important fights of this era.

Pac will rise to the occassion, and keep in mind, that when he wins, it will be against the best version of Mosley humanly possible.

Better than the one who ran through the lightweight decision.

Better than the one who beat DLH the 1st time.

And, most importantly, better than the one who was insulted by Mayweather's running.

    He is the Sugar Man!

He is a 1st ballot HOFer!

He is Sugar Shane Mosley, the most dangerous man in boxing! :deal

I'm not going to read all that garbage, but I'll correct the first mistake I see: Shane divorced Jin when he fought Margarito, like 2 years before he fought Mayweather.

you are 100% right . Sergio Mora is still in a coma after his brutal battle with "the most dangerous man in boxing" haha , are you a table tennis fan trying to write about boxing, or an 10 year old, or on drugs?

Nice. I enjoyed reading this and had a few laughs. :good There's no one more beastly than Shane "Big Shot" Mosley right now. Arum has done it once again. Beautiful match-making, and is giving us the fight we really want to see again.
