Should boxing fans not have their own views then?

You're obviously a bit blind if you failed to notice Bellew landed a right hand before the ref stopped it.

Of course , but very easy to sit behind your keyboard and say Mc kenzie was not in trouble and Bellew was hypothising with his views, when Bellews actually 5 foot away and can see the whites of his eyes and have a more accurate opinion of his awareness and ability to fight back .

I watched this fight again last night. 1st time i watched it i'd recorded it and was pissed after starting on the booze straight from a night shift.
Anyway, was a really entertaining fight and i can see why Mckenzie has been avoided by many fighters as he has a mega right hand. To Say Bellew has a glass jaw isn't really fair. He took some big shots on the night and carried on, the 2nd knock down was a heavy one and not many would have got up from that.
Seems eager to impress and always looking for the stoppage, once he started boxing Mckenzie from about the 5th round he looked the better boxer and i think if he stuck to utilizing that left jab and gaining rounds he still has that big right in his arsenal that can stop anyone.
I for one give credit where it's due and he showed true heart and determination in that fight and am really looking forward to his next one. Well done Tony.....

Thanks pal, mistakes were made but I'll learn from it, I asked for mckenzie and a test and I got it.. Mxkenzie is the only prizefighter winner not to be given a fair crack and I gave him it off my own back. I also wanna say I respect him massively and hope he goes far!!

Mate you need to be careful Tim Cahill doesn't crack that supposed glass chin of yours in you pic :good

Nah seriously mate it was a tough fight that you came through pretty well and will learn from. McKenzie is severely underrated and has been on the wrong end of many bad decisions over the years, so to beat him is always a good scalp. When you out next Tony?

Tony - I'm not one for responding to these sorts of threads (because it becomes a mixture of epic brown-nosing or dickhead keyboard warriors) but I think you are doing the right thing in testing yourself against ugly opponents. You'll learn more by getting put on your arse and getting up than you ever will beating up afrobums.

You've got a lot of support on here and a couple of the barbed comments are because you'd looked so good before. I think your next fight should be against a good name, but a better stylistic match up for you. That'll remind people that you've got some talent and get us a bit closer to the fight against Cleverley we all want to see.

I'll be honest and say that I think he's got the edge from what I've seen - but anything is possible and I'm sure you'll tell me I'm wrong.

Fair play to you for taking him on. How about Karo Murat or Danny Mcintosh next? Good that we have some talented young boxers coming through.

I'd love Murat, Brancalion or McIntosh next, I don't wanna fight no marks and I really believe I'll be a better fighter cos of the last 2 fights, I don't shy away from mistakes!! I adress them and try and improve, I just hope for more good matches come 2011.. Thanks again guys for the support ;)

    Two things Tone.

Will there be a rematch with Ovil?

And, if that second knockdown had landed on your glass tit do you reckon you'd have got up?

    :good
