No talks of contract negotiations, ducking, tv rights and all that bollocks in this thread. If/when the fight happens how does it go down? :think EDIT: FIGHT IS ON!!! June 25th or July 2nd! http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/boxing/9416218.stm
Wlad jabs, jabs, jabs, jabs etc... for about 10 rounds, and by that time Haye will have gassed badly, so Wlad starts throwing right hands which eventually KO the exhausted Haye.
haye via 9th round stoppage (i hope) it all depends on davids ability to get past the jab if he can and then land some decent shots - body shots might come into play - could make things interesting then Haye has a great chance otherwise its Wlads jab and eventually the right hand rocket is coming behind it
I hope Haye wins, but I can't really see it happening. I'm leaning more towards Haye gassing out after having his head jabbed off for 10 or so rounds.
Haye 7th round stoppage. Haye will hit Wlad with a big shot and he'l start falling all over the place like he did against Sanders.
Tentative start from Wlad (as usual) Haye throws fast right hands over Wlads jab, shaking Wlad up and forcing him to fight Haye hurts Wlad and finishes him inside 3 rounds, knocking him out cold
Vlad will not get much joy with the jab as Haye will find a way around it and gets a stoppage. My money is definately on haye to stop vlad, probably in the 2nd half of the fight.
Isn't the brit forum supposed to be the best forum? With the most knowledgeable opinions? Isn't the general forum supposed to be the one full of ******s? Haye KO3 :rofl
I think the over hand right from Haye will do the damage and get past the jab of Wlad. I think we could see a bit of an assault to Wlads body as well. Wlad will do the usual untill he gets clocked and then he will panic. Once Haye has him in trouble I think he will stop him. My prediction is TKO5 Haye.
It's a massive boxing cliche, but this really is a case of who lands hard first. I don't think Haye has actually been hit at heavyweight yet, so I've got no evidence to suggest he can take a HW blow. Similarly, Wlad hasn't been hit in about 2 years, but we do have evidence that Wlad can't take a power punch and Haye hits hard. My feeling is that Haye has the speed to land a couple of his big shots and if he starts quick he has a great chance. The thing is, Wlad is dominant for a reason and Stewart has spent a long time making (and Wlad executing) a style that nullifies his lack of chin. Haye will need something special - but on his day he has it.
Wlad by late stoppage would be my pick. Haye's best chance comes if he can win the psychological war. He needs Wlad to be scared. If Wlad just stays real authoritive behind his jab and uses his clinches and his footwork to frustrate Haye, I don't think Haye will be able to win. But, if Wlad is too scared of Haye to get his gameplan together Haye can take advantage. I think Wlad has become tougher since his defeats and he will triumph but he hasn't fought a fighter as mentally strong and aggressive as Haye so we won't know until it happens.
Wlad by stoppage in about six rounds. In the first couple of rounds there will be very little action, Haye doing his waving arms thing without throwing any punches much like he did against Valuev..... whereas Wlad will be occupying centre ring slapping down any attempted punches that Haye does put out, and throwing plenty of jabs of his own. As the fight moves forward, Haye will have to resort to leaping in with his punches, and might get Wlad's attention before blowing his load trying to get the stoppage. Wlad weathers the storm and continues to stalk an increasingly exhausted Haye before putting him down with the right hand. Haye gets up, and takes another volley of punches before the referee steps in.
I said inside 3 so could be 1 or 2 I just dont think Wlad can cope with the speed of Haye and when he gets tagged it will be goodnight
