More and more televised fights lately seem to end in a draw. Ortiz-Peterson, Mosley-Mora, and now Hopkins-Pascal. After each of those fights there was an immediate cry of robbery. You will never see a thread title "The Draw Was a Fair Decision." I may be in the minority, but I feel in that all three of those fight a draw was appropriate. Mosley-Mora the hardest to score imo. Nobody wants to see a fight end in a draw. Its inconclusive and neither guys fanbases are satisfied. But, that is neither here nor there. A draw is a fair result a lot of the time. My question is what fights, if any, do YOU think a draw was fair.
also ali norton 2, hopkins vs taylor, barrera vs morales 1, whitaker vs oscar, quartey vs oscar, gatti ward 1. If a draw is scored in any of those fight it would have been a reasonable decision.
barrera vs morales 1 I agree with you. ward-gatti would have been hard to score a draw because Micky scored the only knockdown and 10-8 round so you would have to score a round even.
I don't know for other fights, I would have to score it again but for Pascal/Hopkins if you swap the performance with the same ending. I don't know if they would be any Pascal's fans who cry for a robbery after the fight if Jean Pascal would have been down 2 times, took the heavier shots all night despite a good workrate and bodyshot. You swap the performance and Hopkins crew is still crying. It was a fair draw.
BHop VS Calzaghe I'm glad with the decision but wouldn't protest a draw as the fight was awfully close!!
