I'm Filipino and have followed PAC since 1996 and have been buying all his PPV fights, memorabilia and everything PAC but this time he lost me. I know Bob "The Worst" Arum is the promoter but how can you defend and pad your legacy by fighting an old shot over-the-hill fighter in Shane Mosley? Add the fact that you've been fighting Floyd's left-overs, we your avid fans are left scratching our heads when confronted by this simple truth by the people we hated the most. The *****s. I hope Shane gets injured in training cause this fight is a sham and Bob Arum knows it. He even criticized Shane a few months ago after his fight against Mora that Shane is well past it and ****ing Arum is selling this fight saying Shane is still a dangerous fighter and can hurt Manny. Phuleazeeee....

Has Pac said this was/is going to be his last fight?

IF not why the **** do people act like it is...
So he takes a fight against Mosley, Who cares, Another test.

Not the greatest fight, but after Shane I only see great match-ups left.

The Pipilipinos at work feel the same way, they say he selled out and all wanted JMM rematch...

These are just casual filipinos not the hardcore *******s that run around here.

I had been supporting Pacquiao for a long time too, but now I feel that there are too many shady things going on with his team and they are just playing us fans for idiots with these matchups and drug test excuses. I even tried to defend Pac a while back from PED accusations. :patsch They are just playing us for fools, but the truth is starting to come out.

boxers do take unimpressive match-ups from time to time. remember that mayweather also fought the likes of brusels, corley, ndou, sosa and mitchell. mosley is most certainly several light years away when it comes to these guys even in his present condition.

the thing with pac is that even with these types of match-ups, the fights still end up as very interesting and exciting. mosley certainly still has the talent, class and power here to possibly pull the upset. mosley is definitely no slouch and will always be a live opponent for anybody even the elites.

there is talk about jmm possibly fightinmg morales next year. what do you guys think of this match-up when some ppl here said that morales was already shot in the 2nd fight w/ pac? we do get fights like this from time to time. the big names of this sport do end up fighting each other regardless of who among them is still in their prime.

Let's put it this way. It's an interim fight. Pac hasn't had one in a long time particularly after the beating he got from Margo.

There is still some danger in Mosley. He is bigger and stronger than Pac and not as slow as Margo so there is still some chance there.

There's Mosley whose shot/way over the hill or JMM who anyone with any sense knows has no business whatsoever at 147. He's fought and beat all the top guys at 147 except Mayweather which seemingly will never happen due to ****ery of sorts from both sides. Pac doesn't have many other options other than low/medium risk/no reward type's so they arn't plausible. Maybe Martinez at 154 but that's insane and he'd make a lot more money fighting JMM or Mosley.

Who says he's trying to pad his legacy? Maybe he's just trying to pad his wallet?

Pac's legacy is secure anyway. There's no one out there that's really going to enhance his legacy, except Floyd.
