If khan wants to be the next hatton he needs to go on ITV for his next fight

How many fights did Hatton have on terrestrial?

 

If Khan was to get back on ITV for his next fight, it should be against Prescott, where everyone would watch it.

But I'm not so sure he can. Hasn't he signed a contract with Sky for the next few fights?

 

I don't think it would make much difference and I don't see many people going from not knowing if he's fighting anymore to being fans that would follow him around the Country/World.

His problem is his personality which is quite boring which doesn't make him that likeable compared to people like Bruno, Hatton and Haye, he also doesn't carry off the cocky attitude in the way Naz did.

I find him similar to Lewis in personality and I think it makes it hard for the general public to warm to them straight off, Khan will have to do what Lewis did and just keep trying to fight the best and eventually the fanbase will come.

 

Prescott fight is a non starter. This is a subject most people know the answer to - terrestrial will not invest in boxing. Too much risk not enough reward, it doesn't sell as well as ****ing snooker football or darts. Thank god for sky.

 

How does being on ITV put you back on Domestic level?

So, his fight with Paulie puts him to Domestic Level because he's on ITV?

ITV is nothing to do with where he's at in Boxing.

 

Why does it put him back to domestic level? As I recall it before sky terrestrial were more than capable of staging and broadcasting a world title fight!
The problem is people do not associate terrestrial with bug time boxing any more so it would require a long hard sell to the mass Market, and are itv really going to push their real money makers out to show boxing? They know what lines their pockets better. It's a shame but true

 

He's FAR from being a PPV Star. The guy hasn't even established himself well in the UK yet. He doesn't do good PPV's in UK, so we can forget doing good in the US.

Being on ITV will give him massive exposure. Khan does terrible PPV numbers as of right now.

If he can afford to get a good pay-day and fight on ITV, he should.

 

Two things Khan should do:

Fight on Itv at least once a year - will help him build his exposure and 'brand' further
Reform 'khans army' - its current members seem more likely to alienate or embarrass the average Caucasian Brit fan.

As i realise the second point is controversial, I'll clarify: at present khans army seems to consist of 20 of Khan's Asian mates. While there's nothing wrong with that, to someone watching on tv it's not very ethnically diverse and therefore less inviting to the general public.

I guess this makes me realise there's a 3rd thing khan should do:

Hire a PR agent.

 

Dye his hair red.

 

Its a shame because when he was on ITV, EVERYONE watched him.

 

his attire consists of the Union Jack..
the KHAN lettering on his shorts is a big give away..

 

Everyone still know's about Khan. I think he will be massive sports star in 2011 even if he boxes on sky box office.
