luis garcia, both at similar stages in their careers, although garcia has not got nearly the same exposure. He called degale out a few months back but it's probably too much risk and too little reward for it to happen.

Groves. Now is the ideal time for it actually. It's a unificatiion. This dreamworld where Brits fight when they're world champions with 10 million on the table is ludicrous, it hardly ever happens. You don't want somebody losing and rendering this fight pointless.

Rob I expect your posts to be classless and full of bait, so I'm not surprised by your reply. Let's look at the reality though. Degale is ahead of everyone domestically groves included. The groves fight does have a lot of interest and it would not be a surprise if the fight was made. But beyond that who is there? Am I not allowed to show the fact that I recognise degale is immensely talented? You call it arse kissing where I am concerned because of how I have spoken about smith. This is me looking at life through eyes of realism Rob. Give it a break. You are already being recognised as a baiting twat over on boxrec

You think i care what the stuck up twats on boxrec think.

You genuinley think based on a win over Paul smith......who is, was and always will be a shitty limited fighter means DeGale could win a world title in his next fight. your talking **** and your deluded.

you cannot say he is streets ahead of Groves because Groves last opponent is far better than DeGales.

If he can't fight Groves, fight the winner of Asikainen vs Balaszay for the European.

You should care what they say on box rec because they are right!
I think you are deluded about how good groves is compared to degale tbh. But whatever you're entitled to you opinion as I am mine.
However I agree balszay would be a good choice of opponent next.

What would be the point in fighting Balzsay? Balzsay is in the same balllpark as Stieglitz. Balzsay was arguably winning that fight, when he was badly cut in the 9th round, and then he lost his way pretty badly and ran out of energy. It's not like he's some gatekeeper. If they're gonna go down that route they may as well just fight Stieglitz.

Fair point. But are they going to get someone like Stieglitz straight away? Balszay surely was having the better of the argument, so for me fighting him is almost as good as fighting Stieglitz.

I don't think Groves is better than DeGale and favour JD, just don't see it as a one sided mis match like the new band of DeGale huggers.

It would get him the European title.

If DeGale becomes world champion, who will he defend against. His mandatory would be guys like Dirrell, Froch, Abraham. Warren is not interested in 1 defence champions.

Anyway how does beating Paul Smith make you ready for Steilgritz, Balzaszay, or any Lower World class opponent??? It doesn't. Smith was a punch bag.

But thats my point. Why fight a guy thats a similar challenge for the European or even no belt, when they could fight for a world title...? The risk reward is far more in their favour fighting Stieglitz. I don't see them fighting Balzsay. I think he'll probably have a fight at domestic level next, maybe Groves but more likely somebody else. Then I expect some random European opponent in the Brancalion mould.

Don't talk bollocks. You wouldn't even rank Dirrell because he's apparently 'medically unable to box' yet you're worried about him being a mandatory? I don't think he has to worry about Abraham or Froch any time soon. He has to worry about them as much as Stieglitz has to, i.e. not at all. You think Stieglitz is sat in Berlin shitting himself? Is he hell, they're in the super six and Froch is well documented to be wanting to move to 175 once this is said and done.

Plus its the ****ing WBO, Frank can manipulate them.

You see people supporting a guy on the up who is proving himself and you call it hugging. Yours becoming a joke rob.
I just want to a serious debate about the thread subject, and not have to watch you and your baiting. I've said this before you are a bit like a high volume troll sometimes. Stick to talking about the boxing, you aunt bad at that m....... Sometimes ;)
