My bad i just read Sergio Mora is boxing Bryan Vera on ESPN feb. Im 90% sure Lee is getting his shot, Dan Rafael pretty much said the German light middle WBO champ [ forgot his name ] is off the table, looking too much money and Andy is cheap [ no offence ] and can sell tickets in new york. Chavez jr is going to fight Zbik instead , so that leaves Andy. Lucky guy or maybe not.
thanks mate, yea alot better suited to pro the way there scoring down the stadium lately is ruining amatuer boxing, every1 is just concentrating on super tight gaurds and sneaking a point or 2 to win.
Its terrible to watch alright.Im losing interest in it, id find it hard to sit through a seisson down nthere if i didnt know someone on it. The styles needed in the wsb are much more crowd pleasing hopefully some of that will transfer over to mainsrteam amateur boxing By the way i think youd make a fine pro Luke what weight could you do the pro middle of 73.8kilos or would you feels stronger at supermiddle.
Ye it terrible at the stadium now , ray moylette started this style first now it gone too far. They were giving way too many points a few years ago now ya can barely get a point, sure there was two fights down the inters that ended 0-0 after three rounds :think Anyway good luck in seniors and when ya turn pro your a good banger so should be excitin.

It was very interesting, Eamonn and Paul looked in good shape as they sparred for the cameras. Good luck to Eamonn [and now Luke Keeler it seems] on this new venture. I think the McCloskey defence will be the first show of 2011 in the north [ someone on here has stated that there will be a promotion in Citywest in January, that should be the first in the entire country], although McGuigan is running a show in February in the Ulster Hall. A couple of things I can tell you about the McCloskey defence is it won't be in Belfast, but somewhere closer to Dungiven to accommadate the McCloskey and O'Kane fans, and the promotion will be on Sky with Matchroom, not RTE.
that's awful, you'd imagone something clean must have landed at some stage, what was the score when they went to the countback?
Ardy, some nice info there. do you know what weight o'kane is going to box at? he will need to be moved along pretty sharp, considering his age.
John O'Donnell: It's always been my dream to win the British title. Hennessy Sports 24th December, 2010 London (December 24th 2010). John O'Donnell, the British / Irish welterweight prodigy is hoping that 2011 is going to be the year that he finally fulfils his lifelong dream and wins the British title. "It's been a dream of mine from the day I started boxing to win the Lonsdale belt" said O'Donnell But before the former unbeaten Commonwealth champion can be crowned the champion of Britain he must defeat his old foe, Manchester's Craig Watson at Wembley Arena on 5th February for the 2nd time. Both fighters last met in April 2009 when the Commonwealth belt was on the line, that night they produced a thrilling 12 round contest which saw the fast handed southpaw from Shepherd's Bush awarded a split decision result by the judges and picked up his first major title. O'Donnell is expecting Craig Watson to turn up at Wembley Arena on the 5th February in great condition and looking to gain revenge but he has vowed to silence any critics and put the record straight. "I'm really looking forward to this one; it's the fight I've wanted since the first encounter between the two of us. Ever since I won that night he has been mouthing off about the outcome, so I'm looking forward to stepping in that ring and setting the record straight once and for all." The second title fight of the evening will see Morden's very own British champion Lightening Lenny Daws defending his light welterweight title against the American based Londoner, Ashley "Treasure" Theophane. To add spice to this already great event Londoner Dazzling Darren Barker the current British and former unbeaten Commonwealth and European Middleweight Champion will also be making his debut at Wembley Arena with an international opponent being lined up over 10 rounds. Commonwealth title challenger Lee "Lights Out" Purdy and former Southern Area Champion Kreshnik Qato will both be in back in action. Joining these fighters at Wembley will be a host of talented young boxers including Haddenham's Tornado Tyler Goodjohn, Islington's John "the Gorilla" Ryder, Phill Fury of Lancaster and Chris "Flash" Evangelou of Enfield. would make 73.8 handy walk around at 76kg. Yea hopefully something is done about it, boxers are not to blame they are just addapting to the system in place, i heard they are changing the points scoring not sure exact details but.
its gone bad alrite, sure there where standing counts giving and no points! and thanks ill give it a good go
What ive heard is each judge scores the fight, top scores and bottom scores removed and the other three are added together which gives you your total. No more 3 pressing at the same time to register a point, and no more 0-0 scores. The middleweight division is the premier division in Irish boxing so best of luck and i look forward to seeing you in action.
