Good point. Ignore me - I didn't see the irony in Rob's description and forgot the actual story!

I have no idea how significant that it but, yeah, it sounds pretty bad.

In a way they were basically doing the same thing, trying to get a stronger position in negotiating for their big payday. two champs is better than an ex champ or a contender which is why haye didnt want that remote possibility of chisora pulling off an upset

I'm getting tired of all this mincing about in Boxing.

Marcos Maidana did it too, faked an injury and then cried about his manager to get out of a bradley fight that he knew he would lose so he could fight Khan which he fought he could win.

People call that guy a throwback too, LOL

Chisora probably wasted all his money on that training camp.

Vlad did not have a back injury, he had a 2 inch muscle tear in his abdominal muscle. The proof was shown on the Net! Haye never showed any proof of an injury when he back out of a signed contract, nor when he backed out of am implied contract with Vitali. Vlad had nothing to fear from Chisora or Haye. He will knock either one out, or Vitali will be glad to knock either one out also. Those fights are mismatches.

Don't know what the truth is here but any boxer who pulls out of a fight with a fake injury shows a lot of contempt not only for his opponent but also fans who would have made plans, travelled and paid to watch him. Doesn't do boxing any favours with tv either as there can't be many if any other sporting events that suddenly get called off under such unwarranted circumstances.
