    So.... Please don't shift Thread:D

We need to take utilise some of the Rules of other sports...

Rule 1) Get rid of anything resembling the "DOWNTOWN" Rule...

If a player is in front of the kicker....He is "OFFSIDE" until the kicker has put him onside ..... No Bull**** 10 metre rule.... Unless the kicker is hurt by a legitimate tackle all players in front of the kicker have to stay put .... and no running down the field to interfere with play

Rule 2) A try scored directly from a kick should be worth only marginally more than a penalty goal and substantially less than a try scored from running the ball..... say.... Penalty 2 points.... Try scored from kicks 3 points.... Try scored from normal play 5 points (alternatively.... Take the Conversion option away from tries scored from kicks)

Rule 3) All tries must be scored with 2 hands on the ball

None of this Bull**** "upper torso....or forearm" ****.... or did he bounce the bal when he placed 1 hand on it?.... Remove any abiguity.... Coz our ****ed up Video Refs can't seen to get it right.

Rule 4) Forward Passes.... A blot on the game..... If the ball travels forward from where it is passed... It is a ****ING FORWARD PASS.... and none of that crap about "The player's hands were passing the ball backwards but his momentem made the ball travel forward".... BULL****ING****...... A forward pass is a forward pass is a ****ing forward pass:twisted:

Rule 5) Benefit of the doubt over a player knocking the ball on when attempting to catch a kick.... must be given to the defending player:deal
Our stupid Refs seem under instruction to assume that all failed catches are "knock ons"..... (probably the most common referring error in the game).... Time and time again... we see a defending player doing it right... turning his body to take the ball to prevent "knocking on" when failing to take the catch and they get penalised by stupid Refs who don't understand the game

Just my thoughts on making the game of League a " better and less open to interpretation by ****arses" game:D

Rule 6) Shoot any referee within a 1km radius of the ground... The players can sort it out themselves, if an agreement cant be made they'll know who's right when they hear me screaming at the telly from my recliner chair in my living room, if all else fails the crowd can invade the pitch and slap the players silly till they get it right. Finally i can see our game moving in a positive direction. :happy

    Disagree with 3 & 4.

Rule 3 - minus the torso and forearm as "forcing the ball" and the rule is fine

rule 4 - If you are running at full sprint, and pass "backwards" i guarantee the ball does actually infact go forward. They even explained this in a game this year, when they showed a cutout pass where everyone agreed the ball was backwards, they then marked where the player threw the ball, and marked where the player caught the ball and it was atleast 2 metres forward.

Im not so sure about rule 2 either.

How about you just wind it all up and just start following Aussie Rules instead.

Oz, i see where your coming from in regards to rule 3, there's been some ridiculous tries awarded that were blatant knock ons and this forcing the ball with the upper torso for a try is a bit ****.

Another refereeing interpretation that really shits me is that all ruck penalties are automatically given to the attacking team when sometimes it's the player with the ball doing everything he can to keep the tackler on the ground knowing the ref will award the penalty to the attacking team.

Clean up the play the ball and the wrestle and its a simple game to ref.

The try off a kick works only for some kicks. What about when slater chipped the fullback to score in origin? Surely that's worth full points?

Down town rule has always been in place. Its only been this year that they actually followed the rule closer.

all conversations of tries to be taken from a set position on sideline appox 30 metres out , cant see why why a pushover try next to the posts by a brain dead prop like me should have a sitter of a kick in front of the posts while a brilliantly constructed backlline try with a winger diving over in the corner should be penalised by a kick from the sideline , give it to me if ya disagree , no comeback.

Interesting....I bet we would see a record number of try scores pulling up injured after a try so another kicker can have the shot

Fix the rules about stripping the ball. Theres some totally bull**** calls about what constitues a >1 man tackle that allow people to carry the ball into contact in utterly ****ing stupid ways safe in the knowledge that when it inevitably gets dislodged they won't get penalised for it. Really really shits me.

Oh yeah, and all conversions via dropkick and by the player that scored the try.
