Anyone think Floyd would have beaten a prime DLH?

Maybe, but Floyd has not been in the ring with any one of that standing (yet), so we do not know.

I think that Pea had the better offence, without the power.

Oscar doesn't fade in big fights in those days. PBF may be faster, but not by very much. I already said Floyd has a better defense, and he would be using it all night while ODLH is bouncing punches off his arms, the top of his head and his elbows. If PBF tries to launch his offense he's liable to get whacked right out of the ring. He was hurt against Corley, Judah, an oooooooooold Shane. He eats a punch and gets wobbled from a prime ODLH or Trinidad and it's goodnight for Floyd. People talk about Oscar's fights with Quartey, Vargas and Trinidad like they show some kind of weakness in Oscar... fact is all three of those guys were absolutely murderous fighters, extremely dangerous, and PBF hasn't faced anyone as dangerous as any of those guys were at the time Oscar fought them. p4p Corrales and Hernandez can compare, but the fact is they were smaller men than those three badasses.

Like I said earlier.. p4p you could give it to Floyd and I wouldn't argue. They're both great fighters, but h2h prime ODLH is just too big and strong and way too much of a force.

Floyd wins, because of his defense. His brilliant defense would set up the offense. I don't know what's with this "if only Oscar had kept throwing his jab" bull****. There was nothing Oscar would have done. Floyd was countering him whenever Oscar threw it. Made him gun shy. Oscar was also forced to reset a lot of times when Floyd would use his feints, which obviously ****s up Oscar's offense.

Pretty clear to my that Floyd wins. I'm not saying it'll be easy, but it'll be clear.

And just to say, the fight with PBF and DLH wasn't close. Most of Oscar's flurries were blocked, and most of his right hands were rolled right off of Floyd's shoulder. Some of you really need to learn how to watch a fight properly.

Surprised it took so long for this key point to be mentioned. At at least hinted at. The Oscar that fought FMJ didn't have the lungs to fight for 12x3. The rounds he took were generally won with bursts of aggression that made Floyd look seriously flustered and uncomfortable. Prime DLH had some minor stamina issues, but he also fought using sustained aggression. His workrate and accuracy would certainly match Floyd's to keep the scores close. DLH was bigger and stronger and likely untroubled by anything Floyd could hit him with. Whereas Floyd could certainly be hurt by DLH's bombs.

IMO at 147 prime DLH probably stops Floyd or wins by something like 114-112.

I think it was Oscar's will more than anything that carried him in the Mayweather fight. His will and determination in that fight put him just about where he would have been in his prime, so even if he had been 100% prime, PBF woulda still won. The fight was close, but not nearly as close as people make it out to be. Oscar didn't even do enough to earn
    a controversial decision.

As Mayweather said: "Oscar is straight up and down, I've got special effects".

Same applies in De La Hoya's prime, and as someone said earlier, the more you provoke Floyd with aggression, the more he opens up his box of tricks. A younger Oscar gets worked.

    Floyd UD.

Floyd's resume at 147 is pretty weak in comparison. IMO a Prime DLH would always beat FLoyd(and Pac as well)
